Want to swing like Rory?

I am sure everyone wants to swing like Rory. However there are many golf lessons on the internet eg Video Jug which are free.

Not sure whether I agree with this type of advertising and I am sure if he is Rory's coach he is not looking where his next meal is coming from

Its only advertising if I was to get commission... I dont. I thought Id highlight yet another method of learning, it isnt for everyone but hey ho, if it helps someone surely worth mentioning then.
Plenty of guys dont get near the range week in and week out, something like this might help them, that is all I am saying.
Videojug is great for fixing issues and tips, lessons though, they are not.

LOL yea I saw that, I think someone is trying to find flaws and explain parts of his swing that just happen or are a byproduct of the mechanics. The issue he has with the shoulder turn stopping but the swing is still moving??....its slow motion for christ sake, when he gets to that point his arms, hands and club are still moving as he isnt made of concrete, there is going to be a little movement in anyones swing, the weight of the club etc will pull it on a little more.

although im no expert some of the comments do make sense and are valid. U could certainly learna thing or 2! hes still a gud player tho haha

It actually sounds like a bit of an attack on the swing tbh, no positives r highlighted

Brendy, it IS possible to be fully synced up in a golf swing. Everyone has an opinion on what works best and Dan is just expressing his and giving his understanding on why Rory struggles in the wind at times.

Jeez, Dan is not attacking his swing or Rory.

That is quite a short swing in comparison (hands only get to shoulder height), get him to put a full swing onto it. That requires a lot more flexibility and Id dare say that the momentum is still what carries the club on a few inches.

This is a screengrab of both swings at their highest....
Dan doesnt get the same action at the top because he isnt puttin in the same swing effort.

Brendy, where the hands go has nothing at all to do with length of swing. Swing length is determined by shoulder turn. Are you tell me Hogan had a short swing cos his arms only got to the position Dan's are in? No, he had a full swing.

To be perfectly frank, mate, you don't appear to know what you're talking about with regard to a properly synced rotary swing.

Tell me those two swings contain the same amount of turn. I am no pro (kind of obvious hey!) I do understand when someone is nitpicking though. To publish it on youtube seems like he is trying to get himself a name.

Brendy, Dan already HAS a name, mate. He's very well respected as a teacher both here and in the states. Let's just leave it now, eh? I only posted the bloody video because I thought people might be interested in his opinion.

That is fair enough and I understand why you posted, it just seems like he is picking on his swing when other guys love it. As you say, we can leave it there. This isnt even the thread you posted!

I can also see why you would think that. I think Dan makes it clear at the end that he think Rory is absolute class, but in his opinion a couple of small adjustments would help his consistency.

He does LOADS of internet lessons too so may get a little caught up in the issues he sees rather than praising a swing.

Brendy you closet swingmeister!!!!!

Gimme Rory's swing 1,000,000% of the time... but without the back ache!

This vid of Rory is pure class.... you GOTTA have the VOLUME UP HIGH..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXZqHsxzlD8 especially keep an eye on his knee movement on the downswing & impact. I must've watched this 278,170 times out of the 278,173 views :D
