Sorry to blow my own trumpet but just got in from the April medal at a very wet Hoebridge and turned in a Net 70. Still waiting to find out the CSS but early indications are that I could be down to 11.5 ( hopefully 11.3) by the end of the day.

It was my 1st full round playing the Bridgestone tour 330s as well. Not ideal conditions for a new ball test but I have a feeling I might be dropping the ProV1s for the rest of the season. Distance control with my wedges was better than I have ever been with the ProV1 and I really like the lower flight I seem to get. I'm pretty sure they are no better than the ProV1 but they suit my game better which is good enough for me.

Hi there Homer,had a very enjoyable game with Hywel(HTL)today at my local club in Neath,he apparently plays regularly with you at Royal Ascot.He enjoyed the course a little wet of course perhaps you could join up with us in the summer for a game,when he returns to visit his parents.Good golfing Richard

Hey Homer, definately up for some golf, would love to get over to Ascot too. As for the handicap, the aim is back to single figures by the end of the year. After today I should be down at least 1.1 since Jan so it's been a great start but the next 2 shots are gonna be more difficult I reckon.

I had a good round as well today in our April stableford on The Roman Road course. The fairways were very wet but it wasn't raining when we set off at 8-30. I hit a gross 80, nett 67, (par 70) with a total of 39pts.
The downside to the day was that the heavens opened as we finished and the greens started filling up with the rain and the comp was called off.

This score came three weeks after another lad and myself won the winter 4bbb with 45 pts on count back on our Montgomerie course, so starting the season happy.

So the results are in, CSS was 73 so my cut is 0.6 and down to 11.3. I was beaten into 3rd by a guy off 6 & another off 8 who both had net 68s so can't complain about that
