Walcott Out for 6 months,

That's the way the modern fan works - win at all costs

Just had a discussion with an acquaintance who spent 10 minutes trying to explain to me how Walcott gesturing 2-0 was worse than the fans throwing coins at him as he was stretchered off - amazing how many peoples views get completely distorted when talking about football and "their" team

I believe that was true 2 years ago. His record for goals and assists in last two years have been good. His record at England isn't great but he does predominantly on the wing not upfront. Against spurs his runs opened up all sorts of space.

To be fair I haven't seen much of him since he came back recently so you may be right. I'm harking back to his constant poor England displays :D

Throwing coins is a disgrace - gesturing 2 nil is banter and should be taken as such

Unfortunately people will use it as an excuse

Massive loss for Arsenal, his pace worth its weight in gold in that team and creates most teams problems, also leaves Arsenal exceptionally short of options up front with Giroud and Bendtner injured as well (albeit Giroud due back).

What I really dont understand is fans of other clubs gloating about a player having been injured, some pretty desperate fans out there, especially those from down the road

No worse than those singing "It should have been you" to Adebayor

It is what it is

Bigger loss for England. He has pace and defenders hate that especially in a WC where referees seem to want to give a penalty at the drop of a hat (or fall of a player). He does create a fair bit for England. Is it to early for Hodgson to use this as the excuse for coming home early?

This must be pure comedy if the 2-0 was banter. :D

Forget about Walcott of old , he is at the top of his game at this moment in time and was starting to show how good he is , his goal scoring and final ball are greatly improved , its a real loss for both arsenal and England , as for the spurs fans throwing coins , I saw some 20p and the odd pound coin , Walcott played really well and it was worth £2 coin at very least , they want so much to be better then Arsenal but its a pipe dream , Roy Keane got it right , spuds always LET YOU DOWN :D:):):):):):):):):):):):)

Spuds fans going mad on twitter on the news of Walcott`s injury , happy at the news , no class at all , that's why the are always 2nd best ...................you can wish a team not to do well but a player out by injury , no class

Having ruptured my ACL. When I was 30 and meaning an end to my playing days, having to have a knee reconstruction in my late 40s as a result, and feeling the dreadful pain - I feel really sorry for the player himself!

I do think that he was finally playing in the right position and believe he will be sorely missed by Arsenal and England this year

Sad for Walcott, like him as he came through the Saints academy. Good news for our other 3 boys though, Lambert, Lallana and Rodriguez

What about Arsenal fans singing "It should have been you" to Adebayor?

What about all the anti-semetic stuff on twitter from Arsenal fans tonight?

None of them are angels, Spurs or Arsenal

Makes our "red/blue army" sound a bit tame!

Massive loss for arsenal. I usualy right them off before season start and although most people still are I think they will be there this year. Be very interesting to see what Wenger does now. As for england I dont think they got chance of going far in Brazil and it might worek for them as it should mae him take a youngster in his place.

great shame for the lad, horrible injury. All round nice guy though, my wife went to school with him and is still mates with his sister. Wouldnt wish an ACL injury on my worst enemy!

Don't think it will a big loss to Arsenal either really, Gnabry looks like a good right winger to replace him and midfield depth they haev is brilliant. Don't think they'll miss him as a Centre Forward as lets face it he doesn't hold the ball up he is only any good when running onto through balls.

Really! Granted he's off and on but he came back from injury in stunning form. Arsenal's loss far more than England's however.

Walcott is a loss but Arsenal can cope without him. Plenty of cover with the likes of Ramsey, Wilshere, Rosicky, Gnabry and Chamberlain when he returns.

The good news is that it happened during the transfer window and I can definitely see Wenger making 1 or 2 purchases now for sure.

Walcott can frustrate as much as he delights. he hasn't matured as well as I had hoped! he will be missed again, but there is enough quality to push on without him.

his first touch can sometimes be truly shocking for a top level footballer.

sterling is in the same kind of mould. the boy has a big future. lennon forgets the ball at times but can be equally as dangerous on the break!

arsenal will be fine, England wont be that much weaker without him.
