Waiting for a cut

Now that you know what the CSS was - and that you were due to go to Playing of 19, then that's what future comps should be off - until the 2 * 0.1s get recorded at your home club.

Said I'm due the 0.1 back because I'm waiting for them to be applied. I'm not due to go to 19.3, as far as I'm concerned that is instant! But that's all semantics ;) Thanks though. This thread certainly highlights the issue of delays within the system.

if you just accept them as swings and roundabouts (for you and others at times) it's not an issue; it's just another of lifes variables that just seem to always be stacked against you!

in the US they generaly do all their handicap changes on a single day each month - up and down. Not better or worse, just different.

Here's a scenario for you all to get your heads round then:

My current handicap, according to how did i do, is 8.4. I played an away comp last weekend and shot nett 7 above CSS, so due 0.1 back. The guys I played with last weekend have had their adjustments made - one of them wrongly it turns out - but, again according to HDID, mine hasn't changed and is still 8.4. However, the print out at our club, dated July 30th, says 8.5.

Do I ignore HDID and go with what's on the club printout for today's open at my home club? I would expect that to be right but, at the same time, think it might be safer to play off 8 just in case

Have you registered with the England golf website. If so what does it say on that?
