Expected my handicap to be cut to somewhere around 16 after yesterday's good round. Looked on the site today....

It's SUPPOSED to be a big ask on your bad days. No-one has the right to play to handicap, you should have to play well to do it.

Congratulations on the cut though, your target looks very achievable if you continue to improve like that.

The joys of having a database of cards saved

Looks like the average golfer plays to his/her handicap once every five rounds. That's unadjusted (i.e. not capping holes at double bogey) so people probably get cut slightly more often than that. But there you go anyway - your handicap is a P80 score.
