we find the site works best in chrome that said Im using firefox for this and its fine

I do sometimes, especially if you leave the page to upload a picture or find a reference and when you return, you cant continue writing on the same line (Firefox)

Slime, I use Firefox for browsing but have given up for this forum now. I use IE or Edge or whatever it is called now. Never had an issue using that browser.

I have been getting this problem for ages. Running the latest version of Firefox, it happens if a quote has been made and I correct a mistake with my spelling or similar. If I slow my typing and manage to type what I want under the quote without hitting the back thingy key the text stays intact and doesn't move.
Other option I find is to hit the back space key, and move the curser to right under the quote and then it can't move up and stays put.

That's actually what I do now but it's merely masking the problem as opposed to getting it sorted.
I don't think it's a browser thing, I think it's probably a GM forum website issue ............. but what do I know?
