A weird one this. When I am typing a line I can be halfway through a word when suddenly the cursor jumps to the line above. I can't return to the line I was typing, it wont let me. I have to go to the end of the word I was typing, press return, finish typing and then delete the new line back up to the old one.

As an example:

rday
Satu

Any reason for this? Am I pressing something by accident as I type?

It drives me nuts, any suggestions would be welcomed.

Does it happen with one of the other editor options in that case?

To be fair, it's a bit intermittent in nature.
Having said that, it just happened whilst typing this reply. I cancelled my post, changed my settings to Standard Editor and re-typed this post ................................. with no issues.
I'll be monitoring this.
Now, youngJimaroid, whilst you're on a hot streak, any thoughts as to why I get NO notifications for any subscribed thread .............................. only on this forum?

P.S. I'm using gmail in Thunderbird.

Sorry, can't help with the notifications issue. Looked at your other thread and I can't suggest anything you haven't already tried. :(

It's still happening.
I'll be happily typing away before I realise that the second half of the sentence is above the first half!
Any thoughts anybody?

I think it's something to do quoting someone where you leave a gap between their quote and your reply.
Try typing directly after their quote with no gap, then when you've finished your reply, go back and put in the gap by hitting return a couple of times. It works for me

Cheers Bob, I'll give that a go .

I get this as well, after using "backspace" to correct a spelling mistake. The only was I can get past it is to highlight the mistake with the mouse, and type in the correction that way. It is a real pain in the arris, and very frustrating.

Also, even if you start directly under the quote, using backspace takes you into the quote and start to delete it/overwrite it.

It's been many months ............................. and it's still happening!!!
ing me mad!
It's driv

See what I mean?

its a bug that seems to only affect a handful of users using browser software that needs updating - best advice is to update to latest version of software
