TV Boxsets to watch

Done most of the mentioned Wire, 24, homeland, spooks, Following etc all vv good Ive got to secure BB

My suggestion would be a v large (about 7 series) US black comedy I and in fact even my wife would recommend and loved over the years is Rescue Me. Takes a little while to engage it and not sure if anyone has seen it before? Its about a post 9/11 FDNY fire house which is headed, and written by the highly talented and funny Denis Leary. Ive got hours of it downloaded from Sky and watch it gradually at weekends over a large single malt... ( You would get it if you've watched it :)) Give it a go. Brilliant casting, outstanding characters. It explores and pushes every boundary and human controversy from sex, violence, drugs, alcoholism, family, brotherhood, comradeship, hate more sex, and everything in between. :) Its hilarious and engaging at one point then hugely sad and depressing at others. Love it.

I cant believe nobody has said Arrow yet? Highly recommended from myself!

And definitely breaking bad, by far the best TV series I have ever seen!

I'm another who's only managed two episodes of breaking bad (I shouldn't have to persevere to be entertained)

Can't really help with recommendations except to say... Still Game! () its a sitcom so not sure its what you're after though

I'm sure there was a thread recently......somewhere:rolleyes:

Been looking for a decent series to watch after loving the Sopranos..

Tried Breaking Bad but after 1 and a half episodes I had to quit, too boring dull and dark.:mmm:

I heard Sons of Anarchy (5 series on Netflix) was good, thumbs up for episode 1, is it worth continuing despite the Scottish accent guy:rolleyes:

Yes stick with it. In fact it is about episode 2 or 3 that it really kicks off.

I tried BB for four episodes...I'll come back to it one day. Same with True Detective, watched three episodes and gave up.

House of Cards (both series) is excellent.

just watched ep 3 last night:thup: and ep 4 summary sounds like a good one- looks like I'll stick with it, mrs CMAC likes it as well for some reason:whistle:

I love sons of Anarchy and Game Of Thrones. Criminal Minds is a good watch. Law & Order: SVU is well worth a watch too.

Breaking Bad.
Boardwalk Empire.
Sopranos.

If you don't mind subtitles (or you speak Italian) then the best I have watched for a few years is Romanzo Criminale. Not sure if it's on Netflix mind you, but I highly recommend it.

The Sopranos
The Wire
The Shield
Breaking Bad
House of Cards
Entourage
Walking Dead
Suits
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Modern Family

cannot go wrong with any of these in my opinion

No mention of Dexter yet?

It's very good.

Breaking Bad is definitely worth staying with, addictive TV and the only series that topped The Sopranos for me

Breaking Bad definitely worth sticking with, does take a few episodes to get into it, but very well worth it.

The West Wing -one of my fav series of all time.

Sons of Anarchy is definitely worth watching, I've finished through season 6, just gets better all the time.

Justified - Absolute fav show ever, just finished Season 5, just a class show.

I waited until Breaking Bad had finished before starting it. Misses wasn't too keen to start with but once you get into it it's awesome. Echo what a lot of people have said that it's the best show I've seen with a proper ending.

Love the walking dead. But worried it's not going to go anywhere with revealing any answers.

Nashville is our one to watch at the moment, bit of country drama lol

Blacklist and Almost Human are new ones that I've enjoyed.

Dexter was pretty disappointed with season 7. So not started on Season 8 as heard it was poor as well. Will get around to it at some point.
