I'm sure there was a thread recently......somewhere:rolleyes:

Been looking for a decent series to watch after loving the Sopranos..

Tried Breaking Bad but after 1 and a half episodes I had to quit, too boring dull and dark.:mmm:

I heard Sons of Anarchy (5 series on Netflix) was good, thumbs up for episode 1, is it worth continuing despite the Scottish accent guy:rolleyes:

I recently caught up with Game of Thrones after never seeing it and can't believe it took me so long.

I don't know if 24 is your kind of thing but all 8 series are also on Netflix.

Been advised to watch the series of True Detective next that's supposed to be very good as is The Wire.

I'm glad im not alone in not getting into Breaking bad.

Plenty of good sci if you like it.

done all of 24 (new 24 starts in May) and watching latest Game of Thrones live so to speak, sounds like I dont do anything but we dont sit down to dinner and some TV until about 10.30 any night as we're so busy

Love Sons of Anarchy. Just finished true detective, which was excellent.
One from a few years back is The Shield, i highly recommend this one.

If you didn't like Breaking Bad for the reasons you state then don't start watching True Detective.....it takes time to get into it but by the end of the 2nd I was wanting to see the third....sommat about it that intrigues you.

As for BB, i resisted for a while but am now on the 4th season 5th episode and love it. Dull and dark it certainly is not!

And I'll watch Band of Brothers time and time again - with my fave light hearted series (not box set) being Pheonix Nights, the only DVD's I've never thrown out.

I've just started watching Sons of Anarchy. Enjoying it.
24 was boring. You'll not get better than The Sopranos IMO.
Entourage is excellent aswell. The Following is worth a watch as is The Walking Dead.

We were the same with Breaking Bad to start with, but after the first few episodes we got addicted I can say it's the best series we've ever seen.

Give Breaking Bad another chance, it builds slowly but is well worth sticking with. Battlestar Galactica was excellent, Sons of Anarchy series 5 just released on Netflix.

Suits....recently got into it and love it. Series 1 and 2 are on Netflix at the minute

Boardwalk Empire
I also love Suits..

As someone else mentioned, if you couldn't take to Breaking Bad then I doubt you take to True Detective..

My opinion, for what it's worth, Boardwalk is the best thing on TV

Edit: Mad Men! I wanna be Don Draper!

NYPD Blue
