Hi everyone

Some advice, if you will. I'm soon to move house and my nearest practice facilities will be about an hour away.

So, I'm thinking about what I could do in the house/garden to help my golf game without needing to drive 60mins to hit a few balls.

My current thinking is a combination of gadgets such as:

- Orange whip (for tempo - which I struggle with)

- Hackmotion (for wrist angles - which should help face control)

- TRS Slider (for connection - which should train me out of my inconsistent right elbow)

Looked at many other things and I'm very open minded about any suggestions.

So, views....?

I would be careful about using too many things and losing the swing completely. Also, do you know enough about your swing to properly know what is going wrong- think feel v real. What a lot of us think we are doing isn’t actually true when seen on video.

FWIW, I had HackMotion and returned it. If you have space to hit balls the best option is to get a launch monitor and hit balls into the net.

Thanks for the replies.

I've had lessons every 3 weeks for the last year or so, so I'm getting familiar with my swing and the parts to work on.

The garden isn't long enough to hit balls, sadly. Maybe foam ones but I suspect that won't be much good.

Fully accept the point about the dangers of drilling without a ball

Keep the range and course for hitting balls and home/garden for wee pitching and putting drills.

Shots will fly off your rounds even just sharpening up basic short game stuff. A good putting mat and drills like keeping the stroke straight through a couple of tees or something

Best avoid any training aids that don't involve hitting balls. As Neilds said, you could spend an hour drilling in one thing which turns out to be wrong.
How big/long is your new garden?
I’ve got the Hole in One swing aid ( there’s also a longer version Swing Caddy) . It’s really helped my tempo and release. Its not cheap but my mates bought it me for my 60th. Think there a version on Temu

Check out “Straight Away” by David Leadbetter, there’s a few reviews on YouTube by Me and My Golf and others.
I’m currently working with it, and while it’s work in progress making subtle changes, I think it’s excellent

Good luck

Just an update to this, if anyone cares, but I went with HackMotion and a grip trainer and both have been fantastic.

In 3 rounds I've dropped from 16.6 to 15.1 and played some really good stuff thanks to the home drills.
