There are at least 2 BL members here, and I hope we can organise a few 4 balls of GM forum members over the summer.
In that case I'm going to be cheeky early on and say that I'd very much like to be considered!![]()
You wouldn't like it Nick, much too.......well, you know
You just wouldn't...
Even so, I'd be willing to give it a go.
There is an offer for this Saturday at 12.20 if you fancy it Nick? You never know, it may even have stopped raining by then!
I have played four of the courses so they can not be that exclusive.:mmm:
Another one on the Queenwood style supposedly opening July 2015 - at Cherkley Court near Leatherhead - planning appeals notwithstanding.
Several of the ones on that list are not really 'exclusive' - just difficult to get on at a moment's notice. I've played several of them several times.
We are playing New Zealand 19th September. I can take up to three guests so if you fancy coming along PM me. I can introduce you to Richard who runs the Society.Richart.. you seem to have a eye for good courses. Need to sign up to the Surrey Chambers. I am keen to get into NZGC, but keep forgetting about it..

Three out of the top ten with a Gullane post code!
Nae bad for a wee Scottish village.
Played the Carnegie Club years ago a fantastic track and setting, we were the only ones there that day, we were looked after like kings.
The day we were there the wind was blowing in the opposite direction from which the course was set up and was seriously difficult. If you watch the Couples vs Norman Shell wonderful World of Golf you'll see what i mean.
How did you manage to get a game there mate, if you don't mind me asking?
excuse me steve if i butt in.
When it was owned bt peter de salvry, they let people on from local clubs and i believe dornoch members had a recp deal.
however when Elis short (i think thats his name) purchased it Dornoch would not let him join the championship course without the two year wait on the Stuie membership as he didn't live in Dornoch. I'm told toys were thrown. and now hardly anyone plays, though they have recently released a 4 ball ticket at wait for it £1200.
Its a nice course and as Steve said you do get looked after, i got to play last year in a match against them. and i was a little disappointed with some of the holes ( a bit parklandy), though some are fantastic.
