Tigers on the mend...

Dont really see many other golfers doing it tbh

Can you remember anyone doing it during the US Open ? Or the Masters - its a rare occasion for anyone else - for Woods its part of the norm.

I dont "hate" Woods - dont "hate" many people - i just like to watch all the golfers play - not just the one

You serious? You must not pay attention much........ happens all the time.
Some examples from model golfers.

Only because the TV coverage is much better these days then in years gone by when other great players played , as for good for the game yes and no , his manners is poor , how he treated young golf fans , well just dont go there , as for great shots and putting , yes i grant that , his battle with Bob May in the USPGA was just fantastic , by all accounts Tom Watson`s open challenge at Tunberry was good for the old guys that play this great game ..................Woods is Box Office but his time is almost done , its the MK , Rory, AS , Bubba show these days ........................EYG

You really need to know why he sometimes snubs young fans. And any spectators present can testify....... you have grown men and women barging through young kids to get a autograph. My friend in the US has seen it with his own eyes. It can get really chaotic.

All the time ? really

and you had to go back how far to find isolated incident ? did he also have a good spit and throw his club as well - is it the norm for Couples or a one off ?

Phil M signs all that is put in front of him , they love him more then woods , Great Golfer woods , poor example of how to behave in the public eye , not my cup of tea , I rather be Phil M then woods

Well does Tiger do it ALL THE TIME? really?

You put any other pro in as much limelight as Tiger gets, do you really expect not to capture any bad habits? really?

Theres another video of Mickelson caught swearing, Suzann Pettersen swearing whilst talking to a rules official and VJ Singh launching into a vulgar slur which is much worse than what TW shouts.

I really don't understand why you cannot comprehend this fact. Everyone does it, they just don't have the coverage to get caught.

Again you are mentioning the odd golfer

How many instances can you remember from the US Open and the Masters this year for example - i watched most of the coverage and cant remember any.

Even if others did it - still doesnt excuse Woods doing it.

Not really - quite dull and boring tbh

The golf has been great without him about - able to see lots of other golfers play

Change the record Phil, we know you're opinion on Tiger, we don't need you ramming it down our throats everytime someone mentions his name. This is a thread about Tiger on the way back to fitness, not a platform for to spout out the same old nonsense. You don't like him, we get it.

I think it's hilarious whenever the Tiger haters get out from underneath their bridges, he is the greatest thing to have happened to golf, he brought the game to the masses, he inspired almost every golfer under the age of thirty to play the game and has played the greatest golf ever seen. Because he gets annoyed at himself (which is hardly unique to him) when he hits a bad shot and is the only golfer that transcends the game, you fellas hate him. I'd rather watch Tiger Woods show a bit of passion than a monotonous German android anyday.

He certainly showed plenty of passion to all those waitresses and barmaids he was bonking behind his missus` back.;)

Tiger = viewers. Plenty if he's playing well, plenty more if he's playing badly

There's irony in Phil's post as non Liverpool fans feel the same about how much coverage his team get instead of xyz team even when Liverpool are dull & boring but I wouldn't expect their fans to champion showing Liverpool less

It would seem that Tiger is back on the range taking full swings with all clubs including driver :swing:

5 weeks till the Open... Will he be there?

With viewing figures dropping drastically during live golf tournaments let's hope so

Good we can look forward to more spitting, cursing and rule 'adjustments'. Can't wait.

To be fair, Woods didn't play in the US Open so they all followed Mickelson instead. I think the TV coverage follows the most popular American at the time, which is always Tiger when he's playing.

Unless all the popular Americans drop out, then we'll surely be seeing more of them and less ROTW players!

Good news he's hitting balls again. Let's hope he can find some form during this next phase of his career and give us all some dramatic charges in majors and we can remember him for being a dynamic, fearless and relentless attacker of tournaments. I for one enjoyed those days and, conversely, couldn't give a hoot about his personality - we don't hang out much so it's irrelevant. Golfwise, he's got tremendous competition now from the new generation who won't be afraid of him - do their skills match up however? This could actually be interesting.

Ref post #25 - Anybody else find the thought of Suzanne Peterson swearing attractive?
