It would seem that Tiger is back on the range taking full swings with all clubs including driver :swing:

5 weeks till the Open... Will he be there?

With viewing figures dropping drastically during live golf tournaments let's hope so

His 1st tournament back, the viewing figures on the Thursday will probably be higher than the final Sunday's of both the Masters and US Open.....

And the only golfer that will be shown will be Woods - how great is that

They'll be higher on the Thursday and Friday, lower on the Saturday and Sunday after he's missed the cut. All the fanboys can then tune into the wrestling or rodeo bull riding or whatever else they enjoy:thup:

Not really - quite dull and boring tbh

The golf has been great without him about - able to see lots of other golfers play

I'd have loved to see tiger chopping it around pinehurst, he'd have loved those waste areas. I'd have looked forward to him pretending to limp after carving a drive into the trees:o

Considering the substantial leap in figures I'd presume quite good for a lot!

Of Tiger fans - as opposed to the golf fans that would like to see the other golfers playing especially when they are winning

Woods gets shown regardless of how he is doing - i dont want to watch him hacking it aorund , throwing clubs and swearing 15 shots behind the leader.

If it remains dry like the last time the Open was at Hoylake, he will not need his driver.

Was woods not no1 before his injury, so can't of been playing too badly. I'd also suggest most tiger woods fans are golf fans too, just prefer a certain player. I'm sure lots of people watch certain sports and depending on who's playing more or less tune in. Supply and demand I'm afraid n

I prefer lots of other players but i like to see all the players play not just one. Golf is more than just one person. When Woods is challenging and up there with the leaders then great - but he also gets shown when he isnt up there. Viewing figures dropping just means the "Tiger Woods" fans dont watch - those arent golf fans - the rest still watch because they are watching the best players play the game and not just one. Golf will be better viewing when Woods retires.

Only of nobody takes over his mantle. Watch the Irish open this weekend and see how unibaised the viewing will be there. Golf wouodnt have the coverage without him. I'm a football fan, doesn't mean I watch every minute of every game. Just like not all golf fans will watch every comp.

The viewing at The Irish Open will be like normally ET coverage - showing everyone with some focus on local players and player playing well and the leaders. Not just one person regardless of performace

I think it's hilarious whenever the Tiger haters get out from underneath their bridges, he is the greatest thing to have happened to golf, he brought the game to the masses, he inspired almost every golfer under the age of thirty to play the game and has played the greatest golf ever seen. Because he gets annoyed at himself (which is hardly unique to him) when he hits a bad shot and is the only golfer that transcends the game, you fellas hate him. I'd rather watch Tiger Woods show a bit of passion than a monotonous German android anyday.

You're always right as usual, it's like no other professional has ever been guilty of said actions.

Well one person will be glad to see him and it's that key nob on Sky. David 'Tiiigaaaarrr Woooooddddss' Livingstone. If there's nothing more annoying then watching every minute second of his round, it's listening to him spurting his name out on air as soon as he can. You'd think no one else can play the game! It's been a joy to see other and up and coming players play the game.

I for for one won't be glad to see the foul mouthed, spitting, boring post interviews pussy cat return......... Am I a hater? You bet your Lilly white mutha ass I am.

Dont really see many other golfers doing it tbh

Can you remember anyone doing it during the US Open ? Or the Masters - its a rare occasion for anyone else - for Woods its part of the norm.

I dont "hate" Woods - dont "hate" many people - i just like to watch all the golfers play - not just the one

Only because the TV coverage is much better these days then in years gone by when other great players played , as for good for the game yes and no , his manners is poor , how he treated young golf fans , well just dont go there , as for great shots and putting , yes i grant that , his battle with Bob May in the USPGA was just fantastic , by all accounts Tom Watson`s open challenge at Tunberry was good for the old guys that play this great game ..................Woods is Box Office but his time is almost done , its the MK , Rory, AS , Bubba show these days ........................EYG
