Tiger, Thomas and the Tampon

Nothing like using an offensive stereotype when trying to criticise an offensive stereotype.

In my experience, too many people are happy to make unfunny jokes about this stuff and assume other people find it funny for me to want to risk playing golf with random people. I would have to walk off the course as soon as they started, so I'd rather not risk wasting my time and money.

It does happen but, speaking for the club where I'm a member, the idiots get put in their place fairly quickly, often by people I hadn't necessarily assumed would do so.
The outright twits still exist but are definitely in the minority and people aren't slow to challenge them anymore.
Maybe you could consider giving it a chance - it might not be as bad as you assume.

I'd guess many women don't find it offensive at all, and nor should they, it's not even funny. I mean, a tampon? WTF? But from a professional point of view it's a poor look.

That said Tiger should be the last one cracking jokes about poor driving. Self reflection clearly never been his strong point 🚘🦵

I'd imagine he left himself open for a witty comeback from Justin, regarding his driving. Whether he was able to take the opportunity, who knows :)

Probably through age & years of working in an industry where banter was an everyday experience it saddens me that in the woke world we now live in, people spend their days looking for the smallest of things that upset them & then spend their time moaning to whoever has the patience to listen to their overly sensitive rantings.

We have a lady that sometimes plays in one of our rollups. She says she worked all her life in construction and nothing offends her, she just laughs it off. A few people on here would be better off with her attitude.

Apologies if these efforts have been posted earlier on this thread, can't be bothered to read all the posts from the offended but I've lost count of the number of times I've said "Did you catch your putter on the hem of your skirt" "does your husband play" or "You've dropped your lipstick" to a mate who's just cocked up on the green. And don't worry if you're the type of bloke who would take offence, I wouldn't be playing with you anyway.

My mixed partner at my first club, a retired engineer, was very much the same!

You should swap numbers with Crumplezone :)
