Apologies if these efforts have been posted earlier on this thread, can't be bothered to read all the posts from the offended but I've lost count of the number of times I've said "Did you catch your putter on the hem of your skirt" "does your husband play" or "You've dropped your lipstick" to a mate who's just cocked up on the green. And don't worry if you're the type of bloke who would take offence, I wouldn't be playing with you anyway.
There’s a fair point in that actually. We all say daft stuff when with mates in a closed private group. It’s just not the done thing on public platforms and those on those platforms need to be conscious of their actions.

However this was a fairly private inside the ropes joke made public by the media which has caused the internet to melt down on something that ultra serious people can no long laugh at.

We have a lady that sometimes plays in one of our rollups. She says she worked all her life in construction and nothing offends her, she just laughs it off. A few people on here would be better off with her attitude.
And that’s the attitude in life that’s lost on people these days. Or at least it is on their keyboards.

We live in enlightened and more egalitarian times, and these days, most would agree that a man is just as entitled as any woman to buy himself a tampon. And two grown men are equally free to pass them between themselves if they so wish. Maintaining a position that only a woman can give a tampon to a woman is a sexist anachronism.

Conversly, I was once a 25 year old manager of a call centre team, where most of the folk were ladies over 35 from a Swindon Council Estate.

Tiger's "prank" would even have registered!

But, my mum always said, "Two wrongs don't make a right!"

Dame Laura Davies plays down incident | 'It's just banter'
Dame Laura Davies played down the incident, describing it as "banter" and a misplaced joke, but said she expects Woods to address it.

Speaking to Sky Sports News Davies, a four-time major winner during her career, said: "I think it's misplaced jokes, a laddy kind of joke. Maybe he misread the situation.

"I personally am not offended by it. People seem to be looking for things to worry about.”

I'm sure if I have to watch adverts of women sitting on the bog talking about their pads not leaking whilst I'm eating my tea, Tiger passing a wrapped up one to a mate on a golf course isn't going to upset me. I'd have stuck a condom on my nose for effect as well. FFS get a grip.

Let’s be honest , it’s a bloody disgrace, period ..

I can see more people worrying about justifying their Jurassic view points than I can see people actually offended.

Isn’t the reality that it isn’t particularly offensive, but rather another example of casual everyday sexism that we’ve become used to, and more pertinently, someone that should know better behaving inappropriately? It’s just tedious “banter”. It’s not funny, it’s immature. The joke should very much be on tiger as we all groan at what an irrelevant old berk he is.

I’ve got two boys and a little girl. I’d be appalled if my boys behave like this when they’re older. Not because I think it’s tremendously offensive, but simply because I hope they will know better. It’s moronic “lad” banter. I’ve no time for it. I’m not offended, I don’t know anyone that is, doesn’t make me think any more of tiger though. Or anyone else that thinks it’s funny to be honest.

Haven’t got time to read the thread and it may well have been mentioned, but this is what happens when you give financial rewards to people for social media hits - ie, the PIP scheme.

If someone threw a breathalyser at him for hitting a wayward shot off a tee, would it be acceptable?

Tiger spent his prime hiding his personality. Now we all know why.

The more personal things we see about him, the more unpleasant he seems.

1) prolific cheater
2) terrible driver
3) “lad”

He’s a great golfer. Not much else that’s role model material.

I certainly wouldn’t want my kids wanting to be like him.

Still can’t believe he went to the effort of actually getting said item and packing it in his bag, particularly for a high profile tournament that he’s the host of, that’s some dedication to “banter”, right there…!

Would it?

I’d think it was classless, as Tigers ‘joke’ was.

But, ya know, it’s Tiger innit…..
No , still funny…unless you’re a LIV shill I suppose.
What do the bosses tell you to think?
