Tiger tantrum

Your on Keith (with one f)
As long as your socks are knee length and underpants are made by Mizuno and no 2nd pint, you're driving us home don't forget :D
P.S. What's an ipod? :D

Can i just say, this post sums up all that is great about this forum. Doesnt matter if you're a young, sprite, good looking 25yr old like myself, or a one foot in the grave old man like everyone else. We can all enjoy a sensible golf debate and have some good banter along the way.

Yes, I remember when I was young enough to know everything. Sigh.

Que? not sure what you mean by that reply? I dont think i know anything nor do i confess to think i know everything. I'm just giving my views and thoughts on the matter in hand. As i said i dont mean to annoy anyone on this subject.

Canfordhacker - you're forgetting you're talking to young 'uns so you'll have to speak very slowly, avoid big words like 'knowledge' and explain every last detail to them. Twice.

They've probably been educated in Britain, so to be fair they stood no chance!

For me, this is nothing to do with age. I'm 34 and am as offended by a pro's tantrum now as I was when I was 15 and starting the game.

With fear of repeating my self and this whole thread becoming repetative it wasn't a tantrum, he struck the ground with his club. If it was anyone else other than Tiger it wouldnt even be worth discussing.

Agree with minty here. But I am one of those pesky young'uns :D I see no problem with a display of emotion, within reason. And this totally was. Surprised your not complaining about his celebration at the US Open when he sunk that putt to force a play off.

Don't get me wrong I completley condemn throwing clubs around or any other churlish behaviour on the course but I can't think of anything more boring than watching a load blank drones knocking it around without a frown in anger or a fist pump in joy.

The last thing proffesional golf needs is to calm down.

Tantrum is what I say it is and if I say it's a tantrum then tantrum it is. Now I'm throwing a tantrum...where's my club to bang on the ground.

Minty - no worries, I was agreeing with you regarding the generation difference, if not the tantrum aspect, as part of the banter, and my comment didn't come off as intended.

Would we be up in arms if he had wrapped the club around Steve William's throat....

Or cheering him on?

You'd need a strong club to take his railings out, them teeth are huge and so white!

No probs mate. This is the problem with forums, you're never quiet sure if someone is having a pop or in agreement. This is why i keep saying i'm not trying to get anyone back up, If we was sitting in a boozer discussing this i'd have made you all laugh a few times by now and you'd see how light hearted my arguement is.
