So I had a good session at the range the other day working on my swing and getting the club on plane.

Get to the course today and you wouldn't think I'd ever swung a club before in my life. Tops, fats and, of course, a fair dollop of shermans. If I was a cricketer I'd have been thrilled with my score.

So I go to the driving bays to get a video of my swing to see what I was doing and I catch nearly every single shot clean.

I guess the lesson is relax when I'm on the course. This is a cruel game :)

Same here mate. If I could only take 50% of my driving range form to the course I would still
Be better than I am now.

Seriously frustrating as I know I can hit good shots.

Stupid games

It's a very twisted game, today I hit 14/14 fairways (first time I have done so since joining this club a few years ago) I also hit all 4 par 3 greens... Should have been on a great game but putted like a total tw@t!

I am having a similar problem. Striking it acceptably in practice but can't hit it for toffee on the course. NO, I'm not reverting to old habits and have a mind devoid of swing thoughts. The body and golfing brain clearly has a short circuit in the wiring.

After my win and first cut the other week i have struggled so much, mainly with the driver.

Went for a lesson and after a little tweak with my follow through i was hitting it the best i've ever hit it.

The last 3 rounds i've played shocking and really don't have a clue where the ball is going to go with my driver which is scary as i've never been scared to use it but now i am.
