after being ill recently and having new irons I was really looking forward to a quick 9 tonight.
But Made a complete tit of my self playing match play with my mate and a couple of his mates (all single figures)
Some how i ended up off 14 and then 12 i think (normally off 20)
Anyway in 9 holes I lost 3 balls.. Only had a putt on 1st after creaming my drive leaving my self short then thinning my chip. Then my game had a meltdown from the second onwards. On the 8th my partner who I never met before yipped off how it be nice if he had a partner so I laughed it off although my mate did pull him up about it... Scuffed my drive left then hybrid back near green over hit my chip on but finally had a couple putts again although down the tiers so never threatened the hole.. 9th hole still annoyed by previous comment even though was said in jest but very true. i went for my faithful 3wood out hit his driver much to the others delight who made a big deal about it haha pitched over a bunker then rolled in a 20ft birdie putt :)
Stupid game although paying the price with my chest now should of waited another week or so.
Dunno if I be invited again if I am I know the chap won't wanna be my partner again. Off up range in few days with me mate who was coaching me before I was ill to try and see what went wrong, new clubs and not playing for a bit I think also then was trying to hard rather Than letting it flow. I got until June to get my swing and game back as off on a golf weekend with them all for me mates stag and being the highest capper don't wanna make a fool of my self all weekend.

Don't worry about it. I came stone last in the Sunday roll up (and was the bar bitch, fetching and carrying all the drinks) but all forgotten soon enough. Try not to get wound up, or try too hard. Hope you find some form before June

That's half the problem I'm my biggest critic and expect it to always go right which is silly for a high handicap. Was just a shame 2of the chaps I had never met before. I kept my etiquette which is always good and one of them was really friendly and encouraging me along when he seen I was having a bad day
