Get your shoes on, we off round for another 18 holes!!! ;)

So, first medal of the year yesterday - been playing very nicely so was looking to put in a good score to start the year. Beautiful day, course was decent although the greens were still recovering from pencil tining but not too bad in general......

Went out in level par - 1 birdie, 1 three putt bogey. Wasn't hitting it great, but any misses were in good spots for approaches - all 9 GIR, couple of burned edges but no dramas.

460yd 10th SI 1 into a little breeze - Drive, 3i pin high left, chip down to a foot. Putt doesn't touch the hole. No probs, stuff happens....onward
Amen corner 9,10, 11 was covered in just that 1 over and I would snap your hand off for that any day of week.

Nasty double on twelve after having 280yds for 2nd shot and 305yds for 3rd shot after smashing a tree!!

Get to 2nd shot on the 16th without dropping another shot, 85yds downhill into the wind - holding the finish on my 58* thinking this may go in.....hits the pin on the top bit above the flag!!!!! Off it went down a 60ft bank - bogey.

17th par 5 - 42 yds left for my 3rd, flag only 3 paces on, hit the pin on the full agin and it comes back off the front - bogey

18th par 3 - Tee shot is pulled by about 3yds, hits sprinkler head, and goes another 40yds!!! Pitch on and not arsed 3 put waft.

77 and a swift 0.1...........Course owes me 1 (or 2!) after yesterday!!!!! :D

Serves you right for being so accurate:whistle:

To be honest it sounds like the kind of round I've been having of late. Decent play interspersed with nightmarish outcomes.

Rollercoaster aficionado? Must have been really dialled in to be putting irons/wedges that close - I'd be well pleased with that. Quite unbelievable bad luck to get the ricochets you did, as things usually even out over the following rounds you'll be due an awesome round before long!

Sounds like you really only gave one away having been (not surprisingly) a bit fed up at the end? Been there plenty of times too and always figure there's no reason to worry - it's not cost me 000's and a place in the 'race to wherever'. Do like to eke everything out of a round though...

I know I should but I never see the point once the 0.1 is secured - I know it's possible to still get cut what with the stableford adjustments etc - but that is of no use when only got 3 shots to play with..........and that is the up side, I now get a shot an extra shot for a couple of upcoming pro ams :)

Lol... There's value in that :D

Handicap protection?

Hitting pins isn't a problem I have these days. done it a few times in the past, normally for bad results, but seem to be failing to reach very many these days!
