All the weather forecasts are showing Friday to be a bit of a weather day in South Wales. Heavy rain, stormy winds up to 30mph.

Just what you need for a Ryder Cup.

Now, where are my waterproofs..............

Yeah Bro

Looking like a Wet N Windy one

Presume we are allowed to take brollys in.

Prob favour the UK & Irish players, as lots of the Yanks are too used to 75 degrees and sun.

Wales + October = RAIN Simples

I was supposed to be playing the Kings at Gleneagles tomorrow but it has been cancelled due to the forecasted pishing wet weather....tomorrow looks like a shocker all round.

It looks like Peter Alliss may have said something of note for a change,he predicted about 4 years back that this would be the 1st ever 4 day Ryder Cup!

Don't take brolley's if you're going.

It's going to be difficult enough to see without peering between umbrellas, getting your eye poked out and dripping rain onto everyone around you.
Wear waterproofs and a good hat and Robert's your Father's Brother!!

How do folks think it will affect the match? Do we (the Europeans) have an advantage if its wet n' windy? It seems like all the pros on both tours always play in sunshine these days so maybe it makes no difference either way.

I do feel it will be a shame for the spectators. Lets hope for their sake the weather guys have got it wrong, and the sun comes out.

It will affect the match, as the course will be flooded. Pick and place at best. It won't favour either team, as they all chase the sun. That said, Furyk won at Eastlake in similar conditions, just a lot warmer.

Those going, forget about the golf shoes, pack the wellys.

Exactly the reason that the Ryder Cup should never be played in Britain in October and why it should never have gone to Celtic Manor where it floods when somebody knocks over their bottle of Volvic!

South of France, Spain or Portugal are the obvious choices for October golf, not Wales, or anywhere in GB for that matter.

These guys are that good that I cant see it effecting one team worse than the other. All they need to do is stay loose and warm and let the caddies do the hard work of keeping clubs and towels dry.

I'd be amazed if it floods, there was rain of biblical proportions last year and the drainage soaked it up for fun......and they've put more drainage in since. Pick & place at the very worst.

It will be a right old mud bath where the spectators walk though, but then there are 100 odd thousand tramping about over the week.

Agreed it shouldn't be in Wales......period!! :D

Just how Samuel Ryder envisaged it would be played

In his long sighted masterplan along with 100k spectators, £100k hospitality deals and 3D television. :D

I'm sure he was over the moon with the old "war on the shore" camouflage gear too. ;)

It looks like it is going to chuck it down BIG time over Thursday night and into Friday morning,

Then about mid morning it looks like its going to clear up
so hopefully a reasonable afternoon.

It helps having Rob McElwee as a neighbour
