Last Saturday was a chilly day but green.

Then the white stuff arrived.

The range closest to me is closed Mon-Fri until 4.30pm so work can be carried out to repair the damage last months weather caused. Good job that when i am off i go there at 6pm as between 6pm-7pm we get 100 balls for the price of 50 ie £2.90 not bad and a decent range at Polkemmet.

I like the idea of measuring snow depth with a wine bottle. It should be introduced globally.

The range I went to last night has been open all through. Only problem is you can't see the ball flight against the snow, and you can't see it land. I might as well be in the indoor nets where I normally practice.

:D I had a lot of empty bottles to hand. No golf or work means that I got offy bored offy quickly ;)

That wouldn't be Houston driving range..?

It's rather tropical up here at the moment & once I clear a few things up in the office then it's time to head off for a game this afternoon:fore:

A lovely day here in the Sunny Highlands.

No snow, no frost, no wind and no rain.

must Be about 6 deg at the moment too.

If didn't have so much work on today i'd be heading out for a game.

Saw the news this morning and the guy was in Worcs with about 2 mil of snow, i shudder to think what would happen down south if the actually got some real snow!!!!;)

No Houston is at Broxburn, Polkemmet is between Whitburn and Harthill, also a new American Golf has opened at Houston range with all the swing analysis stuff.Very expensive shop.

With you now :)

Aye, the AG isn't the cheapest if you buy at the ticket price but I've managed to get them to take 20% off of things by asking them to pricematch.

Only a very slight dusting here, but course will be closed at the weekend,in fact its been closed all week !!! I suppose i'll be tiling the bathroom this weekend.Have had 2 weeks off work and spent most of it decorating. :(

About another inch of snow last night and the first lot hadn't gone from the fields or course.

Range has been open though as they've been picking up by hand - bless them! I take a bag of Dunlops, Slazengers and Top Flites found on the course just in case.

same here in Glencoe, no snow this year some frost last week but none this week and 5 degrees today. Played nearly every day this year so far, and off out at 10.00 today.

We had rain last night, and no sign of the white stuff.

Just looked a the forcast and no frost tonight followed by 5 degrees tomorrow, so it looks like golf on the full course.

:whoo:

I can picture the snow report from the french alps right now, 'and last night snow fall was up to 3 wine bottles over night'. Sounds much better than 1/2 a metre, or 500 cm.
