The Open 2025.

Calling Harris English as my pick on Florida Sports TV is looking a bit good right now. I don't care what he does the next three days for the bragging rights I have with my co-hosts and production staff right now 😎

Yes it was :ROFLMAO:

At the Open the organisers cluster the big names in two waves - AM and PM. I guess you've never noticed before.
I can’t ever remember them not doing it.
Grouping the best players together makes it more exciting for the fans,& probably makes it easier for filming.

The pace of play is impressive, especially as they rarely have to look for a ball, or go back to the tee due to a lost ball and usually hit 20-30 fewer shots than a typical club golfer

The youth was given a detention yesterday which he's meant to serve today (I doubt there'll be many teachers stepping up to monitor that on the last day of the school year !!)

Anyway, the reason - "I think the teacher asked me about 30 times to stop refreshing the scores from The Open on the school computer when I was meant to be doing coursework"

🤣

Reminds me a bit of when I was at school 45 yrs ago go . Me and my mate had a tiny transistor radio hidden in our bag listening to the FA cup draw Didn’t get a detention though

6hrs is really really poor for pace… but did anyone see or hear of any player or group that dropped more than a shot behind the group in front?

And yet some people would have you believe it is high handicappers taking more shots that are the primary problem. Slow players are slow players, the number of shots taken is almost incidental.

And slow courses are slow courses. The layout doesn’t help pace of play with drivable par 4s and par 5s they can reach in 2.

Very early but T70 has moved out to +2.
However Leishman is -4 for the day.

Be interesting to see the round time for that 1st group. (06:35 start)

Yeah I think it was the 12th that was the main problem for bottlenecks not only do you have waiting around for greens to clear the tee box also isn’t far from the 11th green so there’s a bit of a holdup there for each other

I watch on The Open app and their featured live group I have on today is Rose, McIntyre and DeChambeau and I am glued to this one.
