Yeah cause a multi-millionaire needs to go kill a deer for free meat. I’m sure it’s got nothing to with him liking to shoot things.

Its pathetic that people are looking for things to criticise someone just because they are doing well in a sporting competition

Hunting deer is a legal activity and Harman has been a hunter since he was a child

Not sure what his wealth has to do with it

Maybe he should just be given credit for how well he has played this week

I'd criticise a 54 handicapper for killing deer with a crossbow and enjoying it.

I wonder how many would be complaining about a runaway leader if it were Rahm or McIlroy?

The guy can only beat what's in the field with him and he's done exactly what he set out to do.
It isn't McIlroy or Rahm though.
I'm not blaming Harman but the fact is that without emotional investment in him it just isn't very interesting.

He has played superb , clearly mentally strong the amount of times he has bounced back

Every bit of his game this week has been first class and especially the putter.

Can only be impressed by his level of golf

What’s the issue if he eats it?
You vegan? 🫣

The way he kills it and glorifies it. The eating part aint why he's doing that. Nor culling.

Not vegan but respect animals and despair of human cruelty to them. Far more humane ways of getting venison on the menu...like something/someone who can shoot and ensure the animal is killed instantly and doesn't run in terror for an age before succumbing to blood loss.

I don't have emotional investment in any professional golfer, I don’t know them to form any emotional bond.

I am a fan of golf and love to see golf played well on difficult courses and potentially difficult conditions.

Harman has done what every golfer set out to do this week but he just done it better than the others.

There are over 50 golfers out there (or been out there) so there’s got to be a fair few you aren’t “emotionally invested in”.

Just read that Harmon gained 8 strokes putting yesterday 😳
Which gives us hope. That never sustains. So looks like order should restore and he should have a pair of 72s or so.
I wouldn’t count on it, he was putting incredibly at the Scottish open last week and only derailed by high winds. He simply doesn’t have the power the other guys have to drive the ball into the wind low. But with the putter, he’s red hot, as was Clark going into the US Open and he probably wouldn’t have been considered major material either until he got it done.

In hindsight, there is a possibility, that to some small extent, my assessment of his chances of sustaining his putting level, was misjudged to a fraction. Possibly.

Do you know that’s what has happened here though?

The wound you see may only be a “wound shot” that some hunters use to slow the prey down. The kill shot may have been on the side you can’t see.

It’s amazing how instantly people will jump to conclusions though for the agenda to fit their views.

For the record, I hold no view positive or negative towards legal hunting. Hunting has been around for millennia and some areas of wild lands encourage hunting to keep ecosystems balanced.

Where are you getting all that from ?

“It built a deep respect for animals,” Harman said. “What they provide. They are a renewable resource. Being able to know where your meat comes from is important to me, being able to take care of the animal once you’ve killed it shows immense respect to the animal.

“I am not a fan of people who kill for sport. I enjoy hunting but I also enjoy taking care of the animal after the fact and helping to feed my family with it.”
