Aw thanks mate.
I forgot about Bon Viveur and Srixon Whore ðŸ‘😜
Spill some info lolGuy at my place is head of production engineering for a F1 team. He was telling me that he his team have meetings where they examine massively blown-up photos of the opposition cars and try to work out what that twist or that slot in the car body is doing for the aerodynamics etc.
We also have a retired ITN News Senior Foreign Correspondent - and his stories from being at the front at hair-raising.
As it happens I have tucked under my belt 12yrs as a missile and aircraft guidance, control and navigation systems engineer. By far the most interesting job I have done and otehrs seem to find it interesting.
But one of the most interesting I've come across is the mate of one of the forum members - he was a bit of a hero of mine when I was a lad and it was magic meeting him and playing golf with him.
Tashyboy will be after a invite 😀Ladyboy hooker
Was James Bolam as miserable as he seems? At my time at Wimbledon Common we had
Tennis commentator - Dan Maskell
Comedian/Actor - James Bolam
F1 world champ - James Hunt
Comedian - Hywel Bennett
Also
Nelson Piquet's chief mechanic
A set designer for BBC
At my current club we have had
A professional footballer (Vialli - well for six months until the club cheesed him off!!)
Stand up comedian/presenter (Tom O'Connor)
Ryder Cup player - Barry Lane (junior member)
Yes and yes. Had a night out with Hunt. Ended up in a drunken mess back at his place and spent most of the next day being looked after by his girlfriend. One of of the most attractive "nurses" I've ever encountered. He thought it was hugely amusing. Not sure my mother believed me when I said where I was until she came round later to pick me up and saw him at the door. Kind of got me off the hook for having got drunk. The old man was dead jealous. Loads of stories around him whereas Bolam was a dour misery. He'd be friendly enough during the round but once we were in the 19th he would be the last to get a round in, would barely crack a smile and expected the staff to treat him with some kind of deference. Was James Bolam as miserable as he seems?
Was James Hunt as large as life as he seemed?
