The Mendip Golf Club or Lansdown?

Looking to take a Monday off work towards the end of March.

A couple courses on my list to play:

THE MENDIP GOLF CLUB Gurney Slade, Somerset BA3 4UT
Or
Lansdown Golf Club, Lansdown, Bath, BA1 9BT

Wondered if anyone had played recently or in the past and had any views on each?

Lansdown has to be one of the blandest courses ever. Totally flat, no water and very much an up and down open course (and I don't mean a course where the open is played!). I've not played Mendip but would suggest it would be a much better course than Lansdown.

Long, long time since I played either (25+yrs) but played them both plenty, and I'd always play Mendip...lovely course with splendid views. Lansdown is OK but a bit meh I'm afraid. At least it was back then.

Played Mendip many a time and have always thoroughly enjoyed it.

The best tip I ever got from a mate who was member there and Yeovil. Play one more club than you think. It's cold in them thar hills.

Played mendip, liked it. Can see Glastonbury tor on a clear day. Landsdown, looks a bit meh.
