There has been a sighting! Just watched him (with about 2,000 other people) on the putting green. Looked very relaxed and was very jovial with the crowd, happy to stop and chat.
What is the atmosphere like at the moment. Are all the big guns there now including those from Houston. What are conditions like now and the forecast for later in the week
Hi Homer, the atmosphere is amazing. I have been following McIlroy and just did the press conference with him. All the big guns are here (although haven't seen Casey and Mickelson). As for the conditions; it's sunny but not 'hot hot', and there is a bit of a swirl that has been causing some problems.
They were saying last night they were expecting 'cold' weather.Freddie was whinging that it wouldny be good for his back as he said it was to be cold till the weekend!?
What about Westwood. He seemed to be finding a bit of form this week and is my dark horse. Any sign of him yet.
I presume McIlroy is getting "Tiger" treatment in terms of media interest. Do you think it will be too much of a hinderence or do you think he'll be fine once he gets inside the ropes.
I hope it warms up then coz I could watch Boom Boom play golf all day. Talk about laid back, but then he has to be coz he cant stand up. Sorry Fred if your reading this
Here's a question...If Mcilroy wins do you think he will splash out on a haircut!
Where do the press actually have access to at the Masters? Anywhere other than the press tent / the course? Will there actually be an opportunity for you to be up close and personal with any players?
And there was me thinking there was a field of 70 odd players turning up at the Masters...
Any chance the collective boner for one man can be put away in the face of some OBJECTIVE journalism from GM?
Some of us aren't really that bothered about him you know and would rather have this level of excitement directed solely at the GB&I players...you know, where we come from and you publish from?
Strong opinion rather interestingly made. We like to think we'll keep it nice and objective. I guess that when you arrive at Augusta, there's one man who attracts more fans than any other. All opinions welcome, although let's try and steer clear of crudeness...save that for the pub!
