Strong opinion rather interestingly made. We like to think we'll keep it nice and objective. I guess that when you arrive at Augusta, there's one man who attracts more fans than any other. All opinions welcome, although let's try and steer clear of crudeness...save that for the pub!

If you think that's crude... :p

No intention to be rude, but I'm properly fed up with everything seemingly focussed on one man. A British publication really should be getting excited about the British & Irish players - McIlroy is turning heads, Paddy is on leg 3 of his Slam, Casey has just won in the US etc.

Given that Bill Elliot seems incapable of writing anything at all that doesn't come back to how 'amazing' Woods is, it does get a little tiring for those of us that are interested in the world of golf and not one man. When Nicklaus ruled the roost, we still talked about everyone else fairly.

At the end of the day, if GM can't shout up for the GB&I lads and joins in the fawning, who will?

I believe so far as the magazine is concerned, a fair deal of interest is focused on the Brits, without question. Let's not confuse one thread with an obsession about Tiger Woods, more sheer excitement at seeing the 14-time Major winner in action where he plays some of his best golf. Let's at least agree on that.

Rest assured, the buzz in the office is more on the event as a whole where all the best golfers are, and a European winner would be very welcome, as would a winner from the European Tour.
