THE MASTERS - I'm on it

Ive been watching closely and for me there are a number of players who could win this tournament but there is only one who can lose it, thats Tiger.

I was watching his golf, his body language and his face closely and he is the man to beat, absolutely no doubt.

I am impressed with Rory for his first Masters round and am really pleased to see a good first round showing from europeans, but this is Tigers Tournament unless he decides to lose it. ;)

Alex I'm not sure how much of Oliver Wilson you saw today (he was in the same group as Sergio so presumably some!), but is it true from what you saw that he was very solid tee to green and the putts just wouldn't drop? That is the impression he gave in his BBC interview, and he said he should have had a few more birdies as the ball numerously shaved the hole and stayed above ground. Apparently he did little to find trouble all day and got the ball in good positions. I'm still hoping he can record a couple of good rounds as I have money on him at 150/1 for an ew finish! (along with a few more likely candidates i hasten to add!)

Eagle hunter sorry for the late reply. Since Wilson has missed the cut I guess it doesn't matter too much but he has a very solid game, just didn't make enough putts. I can see him breaking his tournament duck this year...

Hi Harry,
I did put a bet on Ogilvy (not much, just ten bucks), but not sure it is all clicking. Cabrera is murdering the ball, he has a real chance. It's just too hard to call. The change in conditions will help one man more than anyone... and we all know who that is.

Thanks for that Alex, better late than never. As you say it is somewhat irrelevant now he has missed the cut I was just interested to see if what he claimed (that tee to green he was probably as good as anyone out there on thursday) was correct and that is was his putting that let him down. I was partially skeptical as to the truth of this but thanks for clearing it up. It seems he does have the long game, just not the touch around the greens at the moment.

The Tiger loving on this post is frankly ridiculous. He's currently +1 on his 3rd round (Poulter is -4 ;)), 10 back of Perry. He's never won a major unless leading from the front going into day 4.

He doesn't have the short game in shape becasue he's been away from competitive golf for months.

Making out that just because he wanders about with a grimace or a 30 yard stare and grunts at media personnel like an oaf doesn't mean he's going to win.

Its not his to lose, he's just losing period... Thankfully.

Get a grip Tiger lovers.
