The Masters 2026

I did notice Faldos comments and thought he had gone all Glen Hoddle on us.
Seeing he is the only one who could tell us exactly how Rory was feeling in that position it felt totally ridiculous to be on about he learnt all about trees while out injured.
Even with Rory in a tight spot on the last hole he managed to make it about him.
I genuinely thought he started waffling while we waited for the crowd to be moved back, thought it was funny as Butch didn’t know how to answer him.😂😂

I actually love Faldo. You just never know what you're going to get from him. Could be something insightful about the course that only he knows. Could be something about how he beat Greg Norman or it could be some space age waffle about trees. Keeps you on your toes. :ROFLMAO:
I have said before I like Faldo when he is taking about the golf we are watching but he always seems to bring it back to him and his achievements.
Never seems to mention the Ryder Cup though.
On this occasion on the 18th he could have told us all how it feels to be that close to winning the masters not about the energy of an Oak tree 🤣

Yes but that would have been dull and predictable. 😁

Faldo is absolutely an Alan Partridge/David Brent type character. The recent Faldo story that the BBC's Ian Carter told on The Chipping Forecast was both bizarre and funny.

On another note, The Masters App coverage was superb, I’m working in the US so never had sky sports.
I’d seriously consider downloading the App on my TV for next year.
It was handy to watch individual shots back but surely you couldn't have that as your only coverage? You'd be working as a your own TV director, constantly flicking back and forth between players on the leaderboard? Or would you just watch one featured group for their whole round and have no idea what the others are doing?

They went between different groups, it was just called live coverage.
You could choose featured groups or Amen corner as well.

we probably seen it 30 minutes after it happened
and then we hav seen it for 30 minutes from every angle multipel times.

In general I liked the broadcast. It seemed like they filled the gaps where people walking quite well, better than usual (I don't watch that much live golf) when I watch. Probably spread everything that happened at the same time out a bit.
Some people we didn't see. Like the 3rd to last pairing, without teh scoreboard I wasn't aware they were out there. But we got all we needed that was important, Rory, Rose, Scheffler, Hatton, ...

they were so far behind the app it was laughable especially at the start

The US experience is different. The (US only) broadcast option is the feed that goes to the TV companies but with far fewer ad breaks
