The Masters 2026

But if you’re in, is it the easiest to win? It’s a small field and I always find looking at the field for some bets that it lacks a bit of depth - always find myself wishing there was a few more names.
Very much agree with this. Certainly, if the course suits you it's possible to win over and over. The number of multiple winners, compared to other majors, shows this to be the case.

Added some final names to our betting pool, we now have:
Fitzgerald - outright to win
P. Reed - Top 5 finish
E/W either top 8 or top 10:
Aberg
Bhatia
Koepka
Rose
Penge
Tommy
Tyrell

I'm quietly comfortable that we are making a small donation to the bookies on this one. But mayhaps...mayhaps. We got Fitz in before his recent win, so those were good odds.
I would be reasonably confident you will have a few players from there in the top 10...even if it's just the amount of players yous have picked..(around 10% of the field) Lol....

I am always amazed by how well we do each year at the Masters compared to the other majors, but the smaller field explains it of course! hehe

Any reasons why you haven't gone for any of the big names - Scottie, Rory, BdC, Rahm, etc? Thought these would be fairly safe top 10
Yeah, we only dabble so our outlay is like Eur 20. Betting the real favorites doesn't get much returns. And this year I really left it to the guys to pick whoever they wanted.

How much would you pay to play at Augusta.

Highest said was £10K

Me nothing, I have never wanted to play there, far too hilly for me.

Apparently it's only a few $100 if you can get a member to invite you. I'd 100% go for that as a one-off. Just need to befriend a member now. I'll give Peyton Manning a ring later then.
Afterwards, I'd probably wander round the clubhouse for 5 minutes, very likely decide it was right up itself and full of self-important tossers and racist/sexist throwbacks out of the 70s, so do some minor theft of anything branded (napkins, cutlery, bogroll etc) for momentos and then head off somewhere else for a beer though.

My (sadly now ex) foursomes partner got invited to Augusta to play the course the week before the Masters - and thence to stay over to see the competition. Unsurprisingly, he suddenly had a lot of 'friends' who he was unable to take with him ...

I’m thinking Xander or Bryson.
But hoping for Tommy.
Bryson is in a rich Vein at 12-1 looks a decent bet, Xander has been a bit up and down the last couple of weeks but he’s definitely a big game player and at 16-1 is a not a bad shout. Tommy out at 22-1 though looks good money may have a little punt on that.

I’m also liking Cam Young at 25-1 & JT at 50-1 as an E/W bet for top 6. It feels a lot more wide open this year as Rory has had a fairly slow start and Scottie is out of sorts. May go all of this guys and stick £20 in for a little flutter and keep it interesting.
