The Masters 2026

So long ago people forgot 😂

I know right? How quickly people forget that JJ Spaun was on fire going in to that tournament. He had a great 2025, was one of the strongest US players in the Ryder Cup too.

Brain Harman had a great build up to his Open win. Think he had 3 top tens in the 3 tournaments before the Open or something like that. I think he had finished 2nd place several times that season already.

Pretty common for a player to hit a rich vein of form for a season or two, bag a few wins, then retreat into the pack. It's no shock when that happens. What is amazing is how the very top players manage to sustain that winning form for a decade (or more).

Apologies if someone posted this already, I can't recall if I saw it here or not.

Would have fancied Morikawa if it wasn't for that recent back injury when I had my quid on him! Rahm has to be a strong favourite. Surprised to see Si Woo in that list to be honest, he's going under the radar a bit isn't he? Gotterup maybe a good outside bet.

And yet neither was fancied to win a major and nobody would be surprised if neither won a tournament ever again let alone a major. So they were still outsiders and completely unfancied to win those events 🙄
