I really enjoy the par 3, just a nice relaxed bit of fun.
What do you normally do on a Wednesday night? Just do that.
You can tune into the golf on Thursday, just like normal.i like
That not the point though, if they have a par 3 contest it should be done properly or not at all. Annoying spoilt little kids playing dress up isn't golf. What do you normally do on a Wednesday night? Just do that.

The Par 3 contest can be exactly what is wants to be. Just because you are being a misery who stereotypes little children just because of how much their parents earn, doesn't mean you have a valid point at all. That not the point though, if they have a par 3 contest it should be done properly or not at all. It never used to be like this. The odd caddy hitting a shot was about it. Not babies crawling around the greens. It's gone woke.
Anyway looking forward to the next 4 days. Hopefully min woo can hold his nerve.
Very sad post. How is giving the kids some fun woke. Thousands of patrons happy to watch it and worldwide TV coverage. It never used to be like this. The odd caddy hitting a shot was about it. Not babies crawling around the greens. It's gone woke.

In my own personal judgement, this may be the most embarrassing post on Golf MonthlyIt never used to be like this. The odd caddy hitting a shot was about it. Not babies crawling around the greens. It's gone woke.

I can't say watching children on a par three is particularly my thing either , but at the end of the day I'm not compelled to watch it and don't, it's a bit misanthropic to deny the players a relaxed time with their families which others seem to enjoy. That not the point though, if they have a par 3 contest it should be done properly or not at all. I didn't sit through the netire coverage but was flicking between that and the football and can't say I missed much but still enjoyed what I did see. It is simply another Masters tradition like the champions dinner, amateurs in Butler Cabin and the famous names driving off to start the eventI can't say watching children on a par three is particularly my thing either , but at the end of the day I'm not compelled to watch it and don't, it's a bit misanthropic to deny the players a relaxed time with their families which others seem to enjoy.
Indeed. It is a relaxing day for the players and their families. There is actually no requirement to film it, but they do because obviously enough people are interested in it to watch it. Of course, there will always be "moaners", and as soon as they get an option to watch something that they don't like, they'll complain about it.I didn't sit through the netire coverage but was flicking between that and the football and can't say I missed much but still enjoyed what I did see. I wonder if she reacted like that when she realised she incurred a penalty because her dad was standing in her line?
Would certainly make me proud
Just as I am when my daughter gets a putt in on our practice ground
That would be good but I think in a strange way detracts from the event has become. I am sure when I started watching the Masters in the era Europe dominated it wasn't covered much if at all but it was taken as a serious event which is where this "win the par 3 and you won't win the Masters" tag came from. I am not sure too many would be that interested in a competition of any sort the day before the main eventIndeed. It is a relaxing day for the players and their families. I personally don't watch it, but it doesn't bother me. And, I do like to see the clips from it, like Poppy McIlroy sinking a long putt or Fleetwood's son speaking like a senior pro. Those are the sort of moments that are nice to see, and will be shared for a few more years to come no doubt.
What I definitely wouldn't be interested in is the pro's playing a serious Par 3 competition on the eve of The Masters
Will be interesting to see if they utilise the under green heating especially if soft greens mean players can chuck it close and stop it with ease and scoring is lowI think Rory has a better than usual chance this week…there are four reasons
1) His form
2) The supposed poor form of his leading competitors
3) The rains potentially slowing the greens down, at least today
4) A number of players have remarked on how Augusta has lost trees, with them coming down in the hurricane — the effect of this will be to help the bombers even more. And Rory is perhaps the longest at least, or without question ONE of the very longest off the tee
However, my 3 picks are: Cam Smith, Ludvig and Scottie
what odds ?Heard that the most lucrative bet over the last 5 years is a P Read top 20.
I'm almost tempted...
