I don't want to turn this into a sexist thread but...

Men have yellow tees, white tees and some times blue tees and usually have to play for their h'cap on the longer course.

Why then do the ladies only have Red?

Because their Whites are our Yellows and their Blus are our Whites

and as Robo says - who cares....

Most of the ones I see can barely get the ball off the Reds anyway - apologies to those Females of the opposite Sex who are able to hit the ball a reasonable distance.........

Look closely, you should see their red blocks and at some point on the tee, their measured course marker. In effect they have two tees although both are coloured red ;)

I have often wondered this. Surely they should medal off the men's yellows? Otherwise they always play the same course, where as the men's course is dramatically different off the stones compared to the whites.

It takes some of our women long enough off the reds. Put them off the yellows and they'll need tents and supplies

Maybe it's because there are fewer lady members so their tees don't get the same amount of wear as the mens and they can just use the one set.

its simple hawkeye. Its a tradition that not making the ladies tee's means a fore-fit of sorts (chap out etc), putting two sets of ladies tee's in place would just cause more confusion...
