Have just seen the Liverpool winner. I have said it before, if defenders tried to win the ball instead of trying to physically stop the attacker, these type of goals might not be conceded. What was the Everton player doing holding on to Pickfords shirt
Totally agree It was Everton players blocking Pickford from coming for the ball and van dyke didn’t need to jump to get his head on it! Awful defending in the circumstances.🤬

That was very strange... Noticed it also.. Had a fistful of pickfords top and when you ain't that big in the first place you've no chance.

Hmmm.

A player touches an opponents hair bobble, red card for violent conduct

Another thrusts his head into an opponent, just a yellow card for handbags.

The laws of the game are weird
If that is not the perfect time for VAR to get involved I don’t know what is?
I can only presume the ref has not seen it properly (which I can understand) so let him have a look at the telly.
Head butting yellow card
Pull hair red card.
Make it make sense!

Seriously? He was already head to head and lent in to him, there’s no way that is a headbutt.

The players running and diving in was way more of a red card imo.
