Just read a piece about this. One of those rare occasions where no one is upset with each other, money is not the issue, nor is recruitment or interference. It looks like he wants to go back to Spain, partly for family reasons.

Done a very good job, goes with his head held high.

BBC Headline says he’s set to leave after failing to agree a new contract.

Click on the link and it gives a proper account of what you’ve stated.

Headline and article give 2 different impressions.🤬

He’ll be gone at the end of the season. If he stays he’ll be a squad player.

Been saying it for years that the middle of midfield is the big problem area, and United need two recruits there in the summer. We needed one anyway, but with Casemiro going we now need two.

I’m disappointed but not surprised with that result. Had a bad feeling after three weeks without a game before I even saw the team sheet. Once that was published I would have been happy with a point.

You cannot play at this level with no pace in the middle of midfield. You simply can’t. I still have nightmares about the home game against Newcastle a year or two back, and yet here we were tonight with that same pairing. It was never likely to end well.

While you'll definitely get a CL place, I think there needs to be serious investment to kick on to challenge City or Arsenal. Some ruthless decisions need to be made with a lot of the current team.

Ugarte as you said is miles off the pace. Credit has to go to Casemiro who was rinsed a few years ago by Carragher and seems to have reinvented himself. He's been one of the better attacking midfield players in the league this season. A real Rolls Royce of a player. Can you imagine a midfield of him, Modric and Kroos at their peak? 😅

I think you need a top centre back, one full back, two good central midfielders and one really elite winger. The team doesn't look balanced with Cunha on the left to me.

After the red, that was one hell of a performance from Utd. Unlucky not to get something out of the game and actually could've won it. Sesko missed three very good chances.

I believe he is from Bilbao who currently don’t have a manager and in Spain there has been a lot of reports of them looking at bringing him in

Imagine my shock and horror that 2 out of the 3 incidents against Cucurella/Chelsea weren’t penalised.

And better yet, the review panel decided the referee was right not to send off Brooks.

Then the next 2 hair pulling incidents are adjudged to be red cards.

Well as it’s Cucurella I reckon most won’t be too bothered 😉😁
