Robertson whilst not as technically gifted on the ball as Trent , he was quicker , better pressing , better tackling , better positioning


Trent’s ability on the ball and passing range is outstanding but overall package as a full back Robbo for me

I saw Boris Johnson play a charity match, and he was also a better tackler than TAA.

Christ, how many posts debating the legend status of Andy bloody Robertson????

Good result for Forest away at Porto last night. Fortunate with their OG, unfortunate with the disallowed goal, but all to play for next week - gutted I can't go because the wife is working nights.

Oh and Andy Robertson is definitely not a legend of football.

This is what I was trying to get people to understand, there are different levels at play here. The word legend has different meanings to different people so to quibble over it is a bit daft. The modern generation would all call Robertson a legend because it simply means a memorable player who did very well for the club, essentially. Older generations apparently have it meaning the top handful of players ever to play for the club, in which case, no Robertson wouldn't be there.

I think you would call Greaves and Hoddle 'GOATs' nowadays rather than simply 'legends'.

Legendary players are just that ! memories that you remember but how much did you actually see them play.?

I saw Bobby Moore at Anfield and wanted to be a CB like him.
Bobby Charlton was fantastic but I never saw a lot of him.
The Golden Vision of Everton what a footballer. (One for us older fans.)
But I only saw them once a year when they came to Liverpool.

Now we see players every week and discuss their pros and cons.
I’m sure Moore and Charlton had bad games but we just didn’t see them as often.

Suarez not Salah would get my legend pick as a footballer but his antics would bar him
