Was that not under George Graham ?

Can’t recall Wengers Arsenal being called boring

The 1 nil to the Arsenal was with Graham - early 90’s
It started under Graham and continued for many years, but that was also the George Graham that won 2 League titles plus numerous other trophies playing boring football, or do those wins not count?

As each game passes, I get more confident going for him instead of Martinez was the right choice. When the deal was done, I only hoped the board had evaluated the decision well, as I knew nothing about him. But now I've seen him, his composure is very reassuring. Liked his interview last night. He is obviously very confident in his ability to deal with crosses for example. Had Onana or Bayindir been in goal, we'd have conceded 2 or 3.

Tough for most keepers in that congested penalty box. He made an interesting point. Several times, he wasn't even able to stand on the pitch, as he was being pushed behind goal before corner was taken.

I'll hold my hands up, when the deal was done I thought we'd gone for the wrong option. I would have gone for Martinez as I felt in that particular position we needed experience (especially PL) rather than someone could be world class but could also be a dud and not hack the pressure. In an ideal world I wanted both, the GK for now (Martinez) and the understudy (Lammens). I'm quite happy, at this point as it's still early days, to have been proved wrong.

So there you go. A winning team that people call "boring". So it is a real thing, in terms of how people feel subjectively on how a team plays and how entertaining they are. I bet many would say that Wenger's Arsenal were more entertaining, and I wouldn't be surprised if more Arsenal fans prefered Arsenal under Wenger.

And not one person has said won trophies do not count, as far as I can tell?

If Arsenal get drawn to play their CL qualifier on 17th March then their home match on 15th against Everton will have to be rearranged, with Arsenal also still being in the Caraboa and FA Cup the fixture is likely to be moved in to mid Apr.🤷‍♂️

So this will mean due to international breaks and being crap, Everton will only have 1 game between 4th March and 10th April! 39 days!😱
On a positive as Pinseeker has pointed out. Bodo Glimt have not had a league game since Nov 30th. You could win 10-0. Or you could have a team full of fatties 😖

Re This Arsenal hatred thing, you guys really do talk a load of crap.
It has nothing to do with how they play, and everything to do with national and football tribalism.
People from the north hate everything about the south and other London team supporters will obviously not want a rival team to do well.
Saying the don't play entertaining football and they should because they are in the entertainment business, again crap.
A team only has to entertain their own supporters, and I bet if you ask 99.9% of their fans, they will say they are more than happy with where they are at the moment.

People hate Arsenal for the same reason they hate Liverpool. Insufferable, entitled fans.

Never a fan of the word “hate” - it’s too strong a word

When it comes to the current Arsenal there will be some that make judgments based on the way the fans and players/manager act - they appear to be displaying an arrogance of a team that’s been consistently winning major trophies over the last 5/10 years when Arsenal haven’t won a bean for years

You listen to them on the radio and reels and phone ins etc , AFTV is a perfect example - the declarations that it’s the best squad ever assembled in Prem history etc and then the excuses over the last couple of seasons of why they didn’t win of failed in the last 5/6 weeks of a season

There appears to be very little humility about the team and the more “vocal” fans - if they winning every year then you can understand the arrogance being displayed

And then some just don’t like their brand of football - that’s down to personal preferences, Arsenal fans prob don’t care if they are winning

But if you are going to make claims of being the best squad in Prem history then show it on the pitch same with Artetas claim of being the best team in the CL last season

With all the nonsense from the manager and social media fan groups etc people will look to want other teams to ensure they win

As Haaland said to them last season - Stay Humble
