Because Haaland pulled back Liverpool player, who would have cleared it otherwise.
Although Szobozslai dragged Haaland back first, ref played advantage. But technically that doesn't mean he can ignore any foul after the advantage.
Common sense would suggest goal should stand. But the computer says no

Haaland should have gone down when first pulled and made sure he took Szoboszlai with him in a tangle of legs and hair bands and just let Cherki's shot roll into the net....which it did anyway!!

Last minute of the game, Alison in City half, City break, Cherki shoots from half way line, Haaland and Sob.. chase the ball, Sob pulls Haaland’s shirt gets in front of him, ball rolling in to net, Haaland then pulls Sob’s shirt stopping him clearing it, ball goes in net.
Ref awards goal, VAR then calls him to monitor, Ref then sends off Sob for first offence, DOGSO, and awards free kick were first shirt pull happened, neither team happy.
