I mean, if he is offside, he isn't impacting goalkeeper. But, in fairness, he is impacting the defender. If Haaland wasn't there, defender might have been able to put a boot to ball
So apart from Pope missing the ball completely, apart from the newcastle player who is playing Semenyo and not the ball, apart from pope not getting any chance of saving it. Apart from the Newcastle player who is grappling with Haaland not getting anywhere near the ball. Apart from Haaland being 1mm off side.
It’s a perfectly good goal. 👍

I already said Pope wasn't getting there, and I didnt make a comment on all 22 players positions on the pitch.

I was only referring to the defender Haaland had his arms around. Swap that defender and Pope, people would rightly say Haaland is blocking Pope from diving left.

All that said, I'm not convinced officials used that justification anyway. Couldn't hear ref, due to crowd roar. I suspect it was because it impacted Pope, which it didnt. And as I said at start, I wasn't even sure Haaland was even offside but I guess he must have been.

It was a joke it took so long. Pope was garbage and I'm surprised it was disallowed. And it took absolutely ages, which was ridiculous.

It wasn’t aimed at you it was a generalisation coupled with frustration how the beautiful game has gone, am proper bogged off with VAR.
I thought it was a good cagey game for the neutrals in which VAR Is the main talking point again. 🤬
