It looks like they are looking to move the way the team works
In the past we have relied on the two wide forwards and players like Trent pinging balls into them
But with the likes of Wirtz , Ekitike and Isak arriving it’s a different dynamic and the space that the likes of Mo and Gakpo cut into isn’t there now because the pockets are being filled by those other players
Think we will see more of formations like we saw against Inter - a diamond formation with split forwards in a two and the width being supplied by the full backs ( hence Firmpong and Kerkez being bought ) - issue is it doesn’t suit the best of Salah and he needs to adapt to it - maybe play more centrally in those split forwards
Not sure if Salahs drop in form is more than that and maybe it’s a decline

As a neutral it was top draw Tash, great play, great goals, dodgy play, bad ref decisions, both teams on top at times, not sure if it was going to be 2-1 or 5-3, 4-5, great watch.Just watched “ highlights “ of the Utd v Bournemouth game. Quite frankly it was rammel. How anyone can even come close to saying that’s a game of the season is beyond me. A game of the season has flowing football. End to end stuff of good flowing football, passing the ball well. Not a game that is littered with mistakes. Game of the season littered with mistakes.Has the bar of what is a fantastic game really been lowered that much.
Compare that to the Mackems v Geordies, 1 goal, very little goalmouth action, hard tackles, passion, proper Derby.
Both games summing up the PL and English football at the highest level.

Loving how Liverpool fans saying Bruno wouldn’t get in their team yet he’s outperforming and more tried and tested than Wirtz.
Bro in law is a Liverpool fan and been saying this exact same thing today. Based on current and recent performances I imo Bruno would be a better fit to create goals in that Liverpool team than Wirtz is right now.
But what do I know my teams languishing in 18th place in league one right now

Problem is though Billy, that’s what makes the PL so watchable to me, City completley dominating a team I can get behind as well.
The issue I have is when teams try to play like City whilst not having the players capable.
More chance of Donald Trump developing a warm, cuddly bedside manner.
