Yes I have been critical of Salah.
But I think Diaz and Nunez did enough running for all three harassing the defenders.
Losing them two has shown Salahs lack of pressing.
He will run at the defender but he won’t tackle him.
Carragher said tonight Salah has been allowed for 8 years to not track back or defend as he’s a superstar and it was accepted, so to suddenly be expected to change his game as the team is struggling might, as I said before, in his opinion, be seen by him as him being treated unfairly and being made a scapegoat.

Absolutely out of order for making the statement and should of been sorted between Slot and him behind closed doors.

All this talk of Salah, to be honest is getting a bit tedious. Cannot ever remember any other player of this “stature” going on like this. When I say this. Because he has been rubbish and deserves to be dropped. How can he not see that. I mentioned a month ago that it will be interesting to see how Liverpool cope with Salah going to the AFCON. SLOT has hit the nail on the head by dropping him.The team could not afford to wait another few games for him to go to have to change that. There’s no doubt that he is a prem league top ten player of all time, but he is a top ten tit as well.
Salah has dragged his club through the compost heap at a time when they least needed it. When his name is mentioned in future years it will have an asterisk at the side of it. 👍

You must have forgotten when Ronaldo had his little interview

Im more surprised that you wouldn’t have expected Sky Sports to milk this every day

He is one the biggest players in the Prem so the focus will be high

Carragher is a bit two faced imo.
To say he hasn’t worked back for eight years.
How many times has he given Salah MOM for scoring a good goal but done nothing for the other 89 mins.
Macoist is the worst for this!

The teams changing and Salahs not part of it now imo.
I think he will go Isak and Eketike as a two upfront and Wirtz as a 10 .
How Gakpo fits in after he recovered from injury will be interesting.

It is interesting how Carragher has come out with this now, yet as a professional football pundit, has kept it under wraps until now.

I wonder if he would have expressed that opinion earlier if Salah happened to be a Man Utd player? Salah really has badly tarnished his Liverpool reputation if the likes of Carragher can get angry enough to express those opinions in public.

In all fairness to Carragher he called Salah out last season when he made a statement after the Soton game.

I think from a supporter point of view he has been absent in games then suddenly stepped up with either an assist or a goal, but if that’s the way the team have set up and the role he’s been given then that’s down to the Managers.

Last season under Slot he scored 29 goals and 18 assists equalling the Pl goal involvement records.

So if he wasn’t part of Slot’s plans going forward then maybe Slot should of made it clearier to the Club and cashed in on him or made it clear to Salah and let him decide.

It seems his laziness last year wasn’t an issue for Slot, you called out Salah loads of times.

Maybe the issue is more Slot got lucky with the squad Klopp left him, added to City having an off season and Slot actually isn’t as good a manager as some think.

But you have to bring it up again?

Carragher was spot on in what he said , on the whole it was calm and measure bar the odd little bit

But he was spot on

He was also correct when he called him last season when he went searching for reporters for his own gain

Salahs contribution until this season cannot be denied - his goals have been a huge reason why we won the league last season and why we have challenged so much since he arrived at the club , he has never been the most defensively minded but people didn’t care because of what he produced at the other end of the pitch

The man is one of the best players to have played at the club , he is the most successful foreign player in the Prem in terms of goals and assists - he has been world class for us - he has been a goal machine

No one cared if he didn’t track back if he was scoring goals to win the match

But the goals have dried up so far this season so the manager makes a choice , and it’s a fair choice

If you'd prefer, we can discuss the 115 charges ;)

It's almost like Liverpool had become a one man team. And once he stops performing, disaster!!!
I would say most teams have that stand out important to them player.
In the past there's been Dalglish and perhaps Rush, City perhaps KDB and now Haarland, Utd Bruno now and in the past RvN.
Every team has to evolve, if it doesn't it sinks fast.

Surely that’s again down to the manager, Salah has been through goal droughts before and not been dropped as Klopp had the confidence in him scoring again.

If Slot has told him you’re dropped because he’s not defending, back tracking etc then that’s changing the style.

If it’s simply goals, then seems strange as Isak certainly isn’t on form.

Yesterday you said his legs have gone and he’s 33.

None of us know the exact reasons he was dropped and maybe Salah himself is getting mixed messages.

Klopp dropped him as well

Salah has been poor this season , he isn’t scoring and he isn’t providing assists , that’s why he has been dropped

He has been given a lot of games this season to try and find form and it’s not happening so the manager looks at a different way

There is every chance that the peak has gone and he can’t get to the high level consistently in the Prem anymore - we have seen many times before players just hit the wall

Mount is having a great evening. Lovely to see him getting a run of games at long last.
One of the new signings at Brighton,Greek lad, Tzimas,a great prospect!
Hes been patiently waiting for his first full game. He started on Sunday v West Ham.
After about 15 mins he fell awkwardly without being tackled and looks like a cruciate injury! He was causing West Ham all sorts of problems and having a good game.
I feel really sorry for the lad, he maybe out for up to a year.
He's only 19 so hopefully a quick recovery.
