Not entirely sure how West Ham finished that game with 11 players on the pitch. AWB should have had a second booking having gone through the back of Shaw (I think).

But another frustrating night.

The ref was really poor, failed to give a number of clear yellows.

I can't see how Utd will cope without Amad and Mbeumo. Almost everything good comes from them. After a few decent results a while back, their form is worse than Liverpool with 6 points from the last 5.

I suppose that would be correct, if form is defined as results in the last 5 games?

I don't think Liverpool fans will be boosted by that, however, given they are still behind Utd, despite winning their opening 5 games of the season

Yes I agree.
First time I’ve watched UTD this season.
Thought Liverpool were bad to watch but that was dire from both teams.

Not as bad as the ref though.
He looked scared to book anyone , Wan Bissaka should have been off there he does like to dive in.!

Current form is always last 5.

Are you happy with what you're seeing? It's always overloads out wide, cut back and cross. Amad has the skill to take it to the byline but it's a big ask as he's not even playing as a winger.

Absolutely not happy with what I see. It is exactly the sort of performance I sadly come to expect though. Play a team that focus on defending, we are atrocious at breaking them down.

I'm not saying Man Utd's form is great, it clearly is not. I was just saying form is not as simplistic as looking at the 5 last results. As such, I wouldn't expect Liverpool fans to be content that at least they can now definitively say they are in better form than Man Utd. They are not. Their form has been horrific. Man Utd's form has been really poor. Could argue Liverpool fans may be more concerned, as their longer term form has been a lot worse. Man Utd fans come to expect this. Very disappponting we are not profiting from inconsistency of a lot of other teams in the league, but more accepting that we have proved that this is just the club we are right now. Whereas Liverpoil won the league, spent half a billion, and are currently showing the most spectacular drop in form the Premier league has possible ever seen.

And, if I had to bet money, I'd still put that on Liverpool beating Man Utd in the league, because they should surely find some sort of positive momentum at some point, if the players are as good as we think and as good as they cost. The fact that Utd are anywhere near them in the league is a major surprise, and that is more to do with how bad Liverpool have been rather than how good Man Utd have been. And no doubt Man Utd will suffer with AFCON, as our two major goal threats will be unavailable. I wonder if AFCON is the only reason Mainoo was never sent out on loan. Knowing that we'll need to re-organise the team, and the likes of Mainoo will need to come in to the team. If it wasn't for AFCON, and knowing Mainoo was unlikely to get much game time (especially as we have no midweek comps to play), I'd have sent him out on loan to get valuable experience. Amad did OK from that sort of progression.

And I'd bet the other way! :ROFLMAO:
I have already prepared myself for Wolves getting their first win of the season against us on Monday night. The headlines are already being prepared for the Tuesday morning papers. It is the sort of awful result that comes around too frequently. Bizarrely, the return fixture against Wolves is only 4 games after that, also in December! We'll probably lose that as well.

Then in January we play City, Arsenal and Spurs in the space of 4 games, and it wouldn't shock me if we picked up 10-12 points from those 3 fixtures, and lose at home to Fulham in the fixture sandwiched between.
