You not seen any of the Sunday papers?!

One of the guys I’ve just been away golfing with is a lifelong Liverpool fan and he can’t wait to see the back of Slot. He can’t stand him.
Papers ? What are they.?šŸ˜‚

I know a few who agree with your mate.

As you prob guessed I’m not much of a fan either.
Someone who constantly makes the same errors every week hasn’t exactly impressed.
Playing players out of form is asking for trouble

But he won the PL last year so he’s got time to turn it around.

I wonder who is responsible for their form? Has Slot created a negative atmosphere in the team? Just asking… it’s a hell of a fall off in form.

And I guess he wants Klopp back

We have won two titles in 30plus years and people have already turned on one of the manager who won one of them

Well ultimately it’s Slot he’s in charge.

Salah has played every game and has been shocking.
What message does that give to the guys on the bench.
He’s not the only one though.

But we’re only guessing as none of us know what’s going on.

He laughed at the suggestion of Klopp.

It is possible for a supporter to dislike the manager of the club they follow, Phil. I’m living proof. I didn’t want Moyes, Mourinho or LVG anywhere near United, and despised the turgid football the latter two produced.

My mate dislikes Slot. Doesn’t make him foolish, or any less of a fan.

I keep saying, VAR will never ever work if you are looking for consistent decisions.

Even if you ignore the opinions of blinkered fans or silly people, you will have many many incidents were knowledgeable, logical folk have vastly different views. So, depending on who has to make a VAR decision, there will always be differences.

Take VVD's goal. The officials all effectively ruled it out. Some agree. But many also strongly disagree, including non Liverpool fans
I agree.
So let’s bin it off let the officials on the pitch decide.
The arguments will be the same still but we can go back to how football should be played and actually celebrate a goal when it goes in.

I’m all for trying new things and technology but let’s keep the ones that work and get rid of the ones that don’t.

Goal line technology is great.
The best law they ever changed was the keeper not being able to pick up a back pass.

Var belongs with the 10 yard back if you mouth off to the ref rule, something we tried but didn’t work.

The difference is those managers you talk about not liking didn’t win you the league , Slot won the league , not sure why someone would dislike a manager that does that -

a lot of the issue for me for a good number of fans is he isn’t Klopp , Klopp was the energetic manager who was very much a visual manager and you could see him kick every ball - Slot isn’t like that , total opposite character wise , it’s a bit like when Paisley took over from Shanks - one was this loud brash character , the other quiet unassuming

Anyone complaining about refs be thankful they didn’t have the one from the Sheffield derby today. Worse than useless.
Didn’t give a blatant penalty that happened tight in front of him, missed a handball again right in front of him then gave a free kick the other way and worse of all gave nothing for what was, at very minimum, a yellow card lunge.

Of course, no VAR to expose his incompetence.

A good number of fans presumably don't like him because Liverpool have lost half their games this season, and 11th in league. Yes, he won the league, with someone else's team. Fair play to him, though it also helped the other best teams had a year off it seemed.

He now had had a chance to put his own stamp on the team, and so far it is abysmal. Even the games you won, you were lucky. Could easily be 5 or 6 points less. And the money spent was immense.

Goal line technology and semi automatic offside imo is the only thing that can be used - happy to see the rest binned

I’m happy to use it for the very rare occasion when it’s mistaken identity.

I prefer to leave it to linesman on offside unless the rules get changed to cut out some of the grey areas we have currently

Back to the actual football that’s going on. Arsenal looking solid in the NLD and Eze with. Well taken 2nd goal. That gap at the top looks like it’s going to be getter bigger
I think City and Arsenal are the only 2 in with a shout now.
Arsenal look good at the moment but they will have a sticky patch at some point and then it’s about how quickly they can get through the other side

But it seems a number of complaints from yesterday relate to an offside, or not, goal. Offside is factual yet still fans complain 🤷

Fans moaned about refs before var, they moan now. There is a constant here............

The argument has now changed though.
Previously it was if the player was onside or offside (factual)
Now it’s if they were interfering (opinion).

The argument is slightly different, personally I prefer it without the VAR

The offside complaints are more about the ā€œaffecting playā€ etc - just needs to be simplified imo
