Could have Sterling as a playing partner
I see that as a different situation. At least Sterling tried to get a move as soon as he was told he wasn’t wanted, he tried at Arsenal it just didn’t work out. He tried to get a move in the summer but his wages put off suitors having seen his form.

Whereas Phillips doesn’t even seem to be agitating for a move or putting the effort in to showcase his willingness.

First time I'd criticize Eddie Howe but it was plain to see that once Burn had got his first yellow card that Brentford were going to target him, and he should have been hooked ASAP and Hall brought on.

A lethargic malaise seems to have swamped the players....recent performances have been lifeless, played at a walking pace, players seemingly utterly unaware of opposition players around them, caught in possession so many times and the high tempo pressing game that served us so well last season appears to have been abandoned. Its almost as though there isnt a plan...we seem devoid of ideas and invention when going forward.

Last seasons Brentford game (after which we had won 5, drawn 5 and lost 5, scoring 14 and conceding 16) was a watershed moment after which we won 9 in a row in all competitions. Whatever the players said to each other last year they need to shout it at each other this year and the management team need to earn their keep like they did when we were odds on to go down at Christmas in the 21/22 season.

No team is "too good to go down"...if you're languishing in the nether regions of the table you are there for a reason. The team needs to start showing a bit of fight.

Doku having more joy against Bradley than Junior did
I would argue the opposite. From what I’m watching he’s the only Liverpool player that can hold their head up as putting in a shift. Doku has been a major threat but Bradley is working his ass off and standing up to it. The rest of the team might as well have stayed on the bus!

Great half from City , well deserved lead . Couldn’t see Liverpool disallowed goal as it’s opposite end to me . Doku has been superb

I agree
But why do we bring the full backs in so narrow?
Doku has chalk on his boots so Bradley needs to stop the ball getting to him by staying a bit wider

VAR showing its inconsistency again with that offside decision.
He’s never in the keepers eyeline
But he’s in the six yd box so imo is interfering.
