And 3 disallowed. And a couple of sitters missed
I'll take creating chances, even though missed or disallowed, over not creating anything. It's progress over recent seasons and better this year. If we can actually start converting some of these, we will be solid this year.

We have a number of good things in place now. Some clear weaknesses, up front being the obvious one.

Sunderland absolutely deserving of their lead against Arsenal.

Without Gyokores up to Arsenal have looked toothless and lacking any creative threat to get in behind. Constantly passing across the box like last season. Be interesting to see how Arsenal respond as many people’s favourites for the league.

Arsenal will win the league IMO but they've been way too slow in the build up and look predictable. Games like this show why Saka is overrated IMO. Struggles to beat a man and constantly takes the easy option and passes back. Eze looks the one player to unlock the defence.

Hoping Saka can sort it out as I've Captained him 😅

Credit to Sunderland though, very well organised. No idea how they've managed to improve this much over the summer with a lot of new signings.

Just been saying that to my son he’s an Arsenal fan and loves Saka. I just don’t see it soon as he comes up against a half decent defender he just gives up cuts inside and does nothing. Eze has something about him and better close control.

It’s very slow and laborious they won’t break Sunderland down like that. Shows how much having a proper centre forward has helped them. I’d be benching Saka and out on Dowman at least he plays without fear and will give the defender a go.

Wonder what odds you’d have got on this in September.

The bubble has burst though, two poor performances and lucky to pick up any points from Forest and Spurs. Still so much wrong with them manager and set up wise. The only difference has been Amad has come in and they've relied on the individual quality he, Cunha and Mbuemo have. Defence is a shambles due to the formation and they've conceded more goals than Leeds Utd, Brentford and Fulham.

No idea if they'll plummet back down the table or push for Top 4.

The bubble has burst though

Really? That is almost as big an overreaction as United fans claiming we’re world beaters having won three on the spin. United were never going to go on a winning streak extending to five, ten or more games. Not given their form over the last year or more. Football isn’t like that.

I would counter your rather predictable suggestion by saying that having fallen behind as United have done in the last two games, they are both matches which would have been lost last season. 100%.

The differences are starting to appear for all to see. There does, at long last, appear to be a shape and cohesion. But the biggest shift has been in mentality. The mentality of this United squad is an absolute world away from where it was last season.

Utd don't win, they are back in the doldrums again.

Typical over-reaction.

Draws away at Forest and Spurs are no disaster. It is clear Utd still have some big holes in their squad, and as such, won't go out and dominate every game. But at least they are starting to more frequently give their opponents a good test
