Where would Man City be this season without Haaland?
The strange thing is that City are starting to create lots of chances. If Haaland had been on fire he would have had his hat trick by half time. City now are similar to when Stirling played for them and he missed loads. The common theme back then was anyone would score in City's team with the chances created.
Cherki and Doku are the best two wide men we have. Slowly slowly City are getting players back from fitness. If they stay fit along with Marmoush and Rodri. They could make it more than a one horse title race.

Symptomatic of Everton's season so far. Looked great for 30 minutes, only scored 1. Striker can't score.

We let Sunderland back in, become incredibly passive. A different striker comes on, he can't do anything either. Points just drift away.

Saying all of the above, we could have lost. After a terrible first 30 minutes Sunderland were excellent. Absolutely no mugs, Xhaka was rightly MotM.

Whilst we dominated that second half, it was a lot of puff without much substance

I think that's a fair assessment but I'd still be happy overall in your shoes. The way you passed the ball around, the intensity, very impressive. I remember watching you in the playoffs last year and thought you were an absolute shoe in for relegation. The manager and club have done a heck of a recruitment drive, followed by excellent coaching to pull them together. You guys aren't looking down, that's a heck of an achievement first year up.

Okay. Ive had a long day and I’m proper grumpy before the football even starts. So I am going to ask a question I’ve been skirting around, if not completely avoiding, for far too long.

Just how long are TV producers going to indulge Liverpool and their fans by having a complete commentary blackout, with cameras panning around the stands, during the pre kick-off sing song? They are not the only football club in this country with fans who enjoy a tune, yet prior to every home game it is absolutely rammed down our throats.

As I said. Long day. And I’m tired. And grouchy.

It’s one of the reasons I tend to avoid most liverpool games unless it’s the only one available to watch. The love in they get is bizarre, saw a great stat the other day where Liverpool fans and media were saying everyone needs to give Isak time to settle at a new club and it’s not easy to adjust. Same media in the next sentence slating Arsenal signing Gyokeres saying for the price paid he should be better and that Sesko isn’t the player Utd thought they’d get yet they’re the ones in a new league and need more time. You couldn’t make it up!

That’s never a penalty, what can he do there.
The pathetic thing about it was, during the entire review, the commentator, Shearer and Clattenburg not once questioned the call of handball. Even after it was overturned, they still think it was handball

Bet they'd have a different view if it was a potential penalty against Newcastle.

What is the handball rule this week?

Referee goes to the screen, and for probably only the second time I can recall since VAR was introduced, he has applied common sense. That, ladies and gents, is exactly what VAR was brought in for. Never a handball in a month of Sundays. We’d all be fuming if that had been given against our teams.

And Mark Clattenburg is an absolute buffoon.
