How did that VAR review take so long?????

Clear touch on the ball...only needed replaying two or three times....but over 4 minutes to make decision is madness.
Perry Groves, on Talksport, initially said no way VAR would overturn it, it was a stone wall penalty. Then he saw a replay from another angle, that indicated there was probably a touch. Yet he still felt it was a penalty.

I didnt see it, was driving home. But it seems even the expert ex footballer was convincing himself of a different opinion. I can see why VAR struggles sometimes

He's a plank 🤷

That answers that question.

VAR is garbage it struggled to send Onnana off for grabbing Macallister by the throat yesterday.
That was a stonewall red last season has the rule changed and it’s now ok?
It’s not fit for purpose.

Can only see West Ham scoring again here...Soucek odds on to get one...always seem to score against us.

Cant see any sense of a plan as to how we are going to create chances....too many mis controlled balls, loose passes, awful delivery into the box and an utter lack of ideas....just throw wide players at the issue and see what happens.

Goalkeeper who has had barely anything to do goes down with cramp. :ROFLMAO:

West Ham deserved the win. Wanted it more, had a better plan. The sooner we get Lewis Hall back at left back the better we will be as an attacking force. Burn is neither a proper left back, nor is he an attacking winger. Hall works so well with Gordon down the left he has been a huge miss....likewise Livramento down the right.

Newcastle looking devoid of ideas and misfiring in quite a few matches this season....I think Eddie Howe needs to do a lot of hard work on the training ground to identify where things are going wrong. Even in the games Newcastle have won they havent been overly convincing...I can hear knives sharpening from the chattering masses on social media.

Oh yeah...told you Soucek would score!!

And why can't Pope catch a ball.

Well that was some win today, totally unexpected but well deserved. Really good effort by everyone, and hopefully Nuno sticks with that lineup now.

Was surprised how poor Newcastle were, especially Pope who looked nervous throughout.

First home win since February and it’s Burnley at home next week so a chance to get a run going! 😁

Glad to see they've sacked Periera.....absolutely devastated to see who's favourite to replace him.
Gary O'Neil, the guy we sacked to bring Vitor in, with a worse win percentage than him, and a significantly weaker squad than the one he couldn't get the best out of when he was here before.

We're still paying him, so it'll be the easy option for the owners.

It was well deserved...you can point to how poor Newcastle were but I think that would take something away from West Ham who looked organised and committed. It was almost as though when we went 1-0 up that the players thought it was job done, West Hams confidence would collapse and Newcastle would stroll to victory. Football aint like that.

Howe's substitutions were a bit odd though....I think he got a lot of things wrong after half time.
