Fair enoughIts the 1st time in years Utd have been ahead of Liverpool. Give me some leeway for at least one weekend.

Agree it’s why I can’t belive he changed the team so much from midweek when we played quite well. There's a decent team there if they can combine a system to play together.
Kirkez is an absolute liability, Van Dyke having to come over and cover for him all the time. Against Utd gave away 2 foul throws! Robertson in a wheelchair is better.
Slot has suprized me with his comment about teams playing long balls and long throws as if it’s a shock .I remember saying at the end of last season and I have said it a few times since. It has to be good for the Prem league that “smaller” teams week after week get results. Again massive respect to Brentford and Sunderland for there results.
The only people that are really laughing are the bookies.
Hope the season continues like this.
Just watched highlights on MOTD. Can't believe how many times Liverpool were muscled off the ball.Slot has suprized me with his comment about teams playing long balls and long throws as if it’s a shock .
Tactics are there to play on your weaknesses!
But Brentford outfought us and deserved to win.

That's plain embarrassing when managers come out with that type of comment. Fancy teams not playing to your strengths?Slot has suprized me with his comment about teams playing long balls and long throws as if it’s a shock .

Think they have already worked that out. That's plain embarrassing when managers come out with that type of comment. Fancy teams not playing to your strengths?
Brentford outplayed Liverpool, hold your hands up and say well done. By highlighting this, he has just given a free pass to other teams as to where to hit them
I know I have said this before, but when City were scoring 3,4,5,6 goals a game. The return fixtures or following season teams Packed the defence and played long balls and hit on the break. Liverpool are finding out that teams are doing exactly the same.Think they have already worked that out.
Said it before but what is the difference between a long throw into the box and a corner kick into the box? Do one and you are a rubbish team with no skill but do the other you are a set piece genius. Snobbery at it’s bestSlot has suprized me with his comment about teams playing long balls and long throws as if it’s a shock .

He's an odd one for me. Was the standout left back in the league last season. Played attacking overlapping wing back stuff, much like Frimpong or the sort of 18-20 versions of Robertson and TAA. However he's being asked to do the "tuck in, 3rd centre back, come inside" thing as is for some reason en-vogue atm and he just isn't capable. I'm not sure why we bought him to do that role. There's a decent team there if they can combine a system to play together.

Having seen City play a certain way for a good period of time, Citys tactics got nullified. That was one of the reasons City got lambasted for the tikka takka style of play. They just could not break down teams that had packed defences. He's an odd one for me. Was the standout left back in the league last season. much like a lot of the new signings, we're not playing to their strengths. but at the same time we've ripped up what won the league last season, in tactics even disregarding personnel.
while agree Tashy, there's tweaking the system to suit one or two changes and then there's whatever Slot has done this year...Having seen City play a certain way for a good period of time, Citys tactics got nullified. So I kinda understand why tactics have changed slightly, that said, the title has never been won or lost in October.
we are what 15(?) games into the season and I have absolutely no idea what Slot's plan or tactics are. The transfers suggested high and wide full backs, 2 up top (ekitike or isak & salah) and Wirtz in behind a false9. the players have idea and no identity - christ the last 2 games we've spent the last 5 mins with a centre back up top... that's not the mark of a team with a (solid or sensible!) plan.
Liverpool had the problem of being champions long before city had it.I know I have said this before, but when City were scoring 3,4,5,6 goals a game. It’s something that Liverpool somehow have to overcome.
Unfortunately when Liverpool were at there peak, so were players like TAA and Robertson. They were perfect in that system. Them players are now past there best or gone, Salah and VVD FIT into that group of players. This season could be a season of new players getting used the prem league and physicality. And getting rid of some legends.
Or a wee penaltyLots of the season left still but Wolves are joining West Ham in the category marked 'nervous already '. If Burnley are beating you 2-0 at home, it's not great. They need a big second half.
It’s almost like both those teams saw how bad Southampton were last year and have soda here hold my beer. They’re both terrible and create nothing.Lots of the season left still but Wolves are joining West Ham in the category marked 'nervous already '.
