😂 You might be right, and I’m sure we’ve papered over the cracks. Dorgu and Dalot are woeful, Casemiro past it, but today is the first day in years that we can rejoice at Anfield. You’ve panned us for many years at home. Therefore………

#Slottout - Basked in Klopps glory last year and now 4 losses on the bounce. Half way to what cost Ange his job !

Isak making 35m Andy Carroll look a great signing.

150m Flopian Squirtz can’t even make the starting XI

😂 😂

Enjoy 😂

Not seen any of the game but some of the quotes on BBC are pure quality.

Is Isak on strike again🤔

1/2 billion spent and worse than last year.

My take on this afternoon…..

I’ve said it before but if Wirtz and Isak played for United they’d be back page news as being the biggest ever PL flops. As it is things are remarkably quiet for £270m worth of players.

Isak was a stupid buy by Liverpool, they don’t need him and instead should have bought a CB and another player with the funds left over.

I’m still not convinced we should have bought both of Cunha and Mbeumo given we have Fernandes however their performances today were immense and probably the difference.

Lammens looks assured for a young keeper and whilst I would have gone for Martinez he still looks a step up on what’s gone before him.

Unfortunately it seems to be the modern way when looking at new players

They have both been in the club for a couple of months so I’m not expecting any realistic judgments until they have at least had time to settle

Wirtz has had lots of moments in games where you can see the quality - created plenty of chances so far that haven’t been taken but the quality is there - going to need time

Isak has already shown his talent and through reasons we are all aware of hasn’t had chance to get going yet

It’s the same with players that start well - doesn’t mean they will be hits ,

Players should at least be given time - if we get to Feb etc and players are still underperforming then it’s question time

Hard to disagree with any of that.

Liverpool, and anyone attached to them, will argue that Isak has not had much of a pre season. And I think Wirtz is living proof that the German league is nowhere near as competitive as football in this country, across all divisions.

But their stats thus far are appalling. Really, really poor. I saw a graphic on Sky after the game which suggests that, between them, in over 700 minutes of football so far this season they have managed one assist and no goals in the Premier League. Even Sesko has bagged a couple of goals and, to prove your point with brass knobs on, he has already been written off as the flop signing of the summer in press circles.

Sesko is 21 - not sure why anyone wokld be writing him but it’s going to be someone looking for a reaction

But stats about assists and goals if used in isolation won’t ever tell the full story

Wirtz for example has created 21 chances this season - more than any other player , the fact they haven’t been taken then looks bad on him

It’s been widely posted on social media that Sesko is a flop. It’s click bait. Nothing more.

It's hilarious when you provide such a detailed account when talking about new Liverpool players and why it is too early to judge them, when we all know you had already described Ugarte as not being good enough on his debut at Utd.

I wonder why Slot chose not to start such an incredible chance creator today?

Slot must be crazy, get him sacked 🤣

If you reverse that, Kane and a couple of others that have gone to Bayern are having fantastic seasons there. Even Eric Dier looked half decent. The only two that have come from Germany that spring to mind and have done very well are Haaland and KDB. But is that down to a coach getting the best out of them and the coach not getting the best out of them at Liverpool.
I don’t know. The one that surprises me is Isak. He is proven Premier league quality and yet has not at the moment found his best form.

Really only 2!

Kompany, Ballack, Son Hueng Min, Berbatov, Firminho, Sane, Geundogon, Lehmann. And that’s without having to google imports from German league and 3 of those played for your Beloved City.
