A lot of talk about players forcing through the moves and being rightly criticised for their actions

But what’s the feeling on this - a club spends a lot of money on a player gives them a long contract but then doesn’t want them and is trying to force them out
My thoughts on sterling are.
He’s on £325k pw 🤯
He went out on loan & didn’t impress.
IF he really wants to play football I’m sure he could still get a move to a mid table side, but he’d have to take a massive pay cut.
But I doubt he’d do that.

Not sure how this is comparable to a player refusing to play,it’s not like the club are refusing to pay the player 🤷‍♂️

Interesting story on this weeks Peter Crouch podcast that I was listening to on my dog walk this morning.

Fella emailed in to say that he recently visited his family and they all went to Fratton Park to watch their beloved Portsmouth. His dad is a season ticket holder and mentioned to him that this season, his seat at the stadium will have been in their family (passed down from generation to generation) for 100 years!

Thought that was remarkable. Wonder if many other families can boast of such a stat!

Certain clubs would be investigating how the season ticket was being used by someone who wasn't named on it.

Not sure that is totally factual by the caller. The family may have had a season ticket for 100 years (if they were going that long) and in the same rough area of the stand but I'm sure the stands at Fratton Park will have been substantially altered in the last 100 years and the layout will have altered.

I take it you not been to Fratton Park?
It was built by the same bloke who did the Tower of London and it hasn’t changed since
